As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Digital Economies practice group within Commercial Risk, Asia. As the Digital Economies Practice Leader, you will report directly to Regional Head of Sales, Marketing and Aon Global Client Network or an appropriate alternate leader.


Position Summary


Develop and execute a strategy for growth and client retention in the Digital Economies sector, seeking to position Aon as the leading advisor in Asia, including:


Have a clear understanding of the underlying new business models at the target clients as well as the new technologies driving these.

Client / account strategy and results to grow revenue, including strategic coordination of broking, servicing and sales activities for Digital Economy clients to retain clients and increase penetration to achieve annual growth targets.

Prospect development to grow revenue through Local Market Planning, networking, associations, referrals etc. and leading the sales process and proposition to Digital Economy prospects across Asia, including strategic coordination of sales, broking, consulting and servicing activities which are required to deliver the Aon value proposition to the prospect.

Retain and grow Aon’s business, cultivating relationships with C-suite and executive client decision-makers in the client / prospect organisation. 

Lead and motivate the brokers, AEs, and sales people (a combination of virtual regional resources) to drive specific regional and country sales and retention plans for Digital Economy clients and prospects.

Be the driving force to educate colleagues across Aon on new risks and required solutions

Actively and effectively communicate Aon Client Promise and the value Aon United delivers to clients and prospects, both externally and to Aon colleagues.

Develop and maintain strong market relationships to address any client issue which may arise.

Develop innovative solutions by listening to client and prospect needs, and translating these into innovative solutions / products with the support of brokers and carriers.

Create industry insights and provide thought leadership based on Aon data, client feedback, insurance carrier input, etc.

Collaborate with Digital Economy practice group in USA to align Asia with solutions and marketing approaches.

Partner with marketing to promote the Aon brand as a leading advisor to the Digital Economy industry.

Study data (both internal and external) that will help develop customer insights that are unique and useful to meet their needs.




Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with Risk and Insurance Management/Business related curriculum preferred

10+ years of appropriate insurance experience, coupled with project and account team management experience

Expertise in digital economies, with strong understanding of the tech sector and associated risks and opportunities

Excellent influencing, communication and negotiation skills

In-depth working knowledge of the insurance business and the clients’ needs, as well as all major lines of business and consulting solutions

Well-developed problem solving, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills

Strong leadership qualities and an ability to influence and motivate staff in the achievement of objectives

Strong relationship development skills, in dealings with both internal and external customers and stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to implement and manage operational, service and broking metrics and satisfy client KPIs

Demonstrated ability to deliver new clients by following a well-planned and structured sales process

Ability to execute plans into positive business actions with measurable results
