Job Description and Responsibilities
Visa's looking for a Director within the Applied Cryptography Team to lead Visa's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) team.This Director will lead a global team to support Visa's multiple Public Key Infrastructures (PKI) and support implemented key management systems and Host Security Modules (HSM).This team provides critical encryption and digital certificate services to Visa’s global services and infrastructure. The team is also expected to provide consultative expertise for implemented transaction processing/routing, cybersecurity, compliance, PKI, digital certificates, and encryption as well as assessing implications for clients and cardholders.
Manage a team supporting Visa’s Global PKI infrastructure and critical services and lead PKI use, implementation, deployment and delivery for multiple PKIs
Provide Level 3 Support on Applied Cryptography as a subject matter expert and contributor to Visa PKI and encryption technologies
Design, propose and review new encryption solutions & implementation, and provide functional and technical support for program, project and core PKI needs
Evaluates current global and technology specific processes to determine process improvements, and how best to gain more effectiveness and efficiency report to management industry trends and recommendations
Takes a leadership role with PKI use, implementation and delivery
Proactively facilities team collaboration and mentors team on learning new technologies, uses cases and implementations
Review, update and create PKI policies, procedures and technical security requirements in collaboration with the Security Architecture teams
Coordinate internal / external industry audits in collaboration with Visa internal teams and recommend changes needed for industry compliance
Provide Asymmetric and symmetric encryption subject matter expertise in Applied Cryptography Audits
10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
8-10 years of work experience in Cybersecurity and PKI operations supporting highly complex clients or services with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
Leadership experience not necessarily defined by previous title with coordination, reporting and support of audit project collaboration, and PKI implementations and technology
Demonstrated ability to manage global teams and build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Working knowledge of PKI systems including EJBCA, Active Directory Certificate Services, and Venafi as well as Data Encryption technologies
Expert knowledge of full breadth of systems, products and services required for mature PKI implementations and services, in depth knowledge of CA/Browser and Industry PKI Trusted Root requirements and industry compliance requirements
Analytical ability coupled with excellent communication, influencing, and negotiating skills.
