The Director, Channel Cloud Sales will have principle responsibility to accelerate our scale and capacity of cloud services leveraging our channel ecosystem. This leader is responsible for leading overall partner strategy and sales execution for our portfolio of cloud solutions in the Americas. S/he will lead a team of channel sales specialists to create strategy, enable partners, and accelerate sales through the Channel
With this growth, we seek a talented leader who can motivate and lead our partner ecosystem on how to monetize and accelerate their business with public / hybrid cloud.
Will be responsible for building and leading an experienced sales team responsible for achieving sales targets on a quarterly basis
Will possess strong leadership, executive communication skills, and the ability to work cross functionally
Develop a cohesive plan to recruit and activate a multitude of Channel Partners to drive transactional growth, channel capacity, and sales performance
Ensure alignment across GTM efforts for the VMware Cloud Solutions: prioritizing key partners, initiatives, campaigns, and overall sales execution
Drive interlocks and strategic account planning between channel, field sales, specialists, segment leaders, engineering, marketing and professional services.
Accurate forecasting, planning, and orchestration of a broad mix of resources to execute against a quarterly sales plan
Interface between Americas Partner Organization and internal stakeholders on product, program, and strategy enhancements
7+ years of sales management experience in a dynamic, highly competitive, ever-changing enterprise sales environment.
Major understanding of cloud sales and MSP operating models and preferably experience with AWS or other large cloud providers (Microsoft, Google, Rackspace, CenturyLink)
Will have led quota carrying sales teams with demonstrated achievement leading a horizontal, extended resource team to support channel objectives
Ability to work effectively with and across all levels of business and IT contacts within very large and complex organizations
Extensive experience with channel partners, service providers, or end-customers in a dynamic software environment
Self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction
Strong executive level communication skills
Highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high level of integrity, honesty, and standards for self and team
BA/BS degree or higher
Travel - ability to travel 60%+ of the time.
