NBA China is seeking an experienced and inventive executive to lead all production functions for the Content Team. In this role, the position holder will be responsible for internal production, content localization, as well as the creation of creative franchises and specials through external partners and vendors. As content is core to so many aspects of our organization, this is a pivotal role that will require deep teamwork across diverse business units and external partners. You are able to provide creative solutions for complex content requirements while implementing a pragmatic production approach that emphasizes efficiency and time to market.


Major Responsibility:


Direct all aspects of content production including creative development, pre-production, scheduling, budgeting, production, post-production, talent casting and crew staffing Collaborate with NBA Entertainment and handle regional production resources in support of pillar initiatives including China Games, All-Star, The Playoffs, and Season Tip-Off Direct all aspects of content production including creative development, pre-production, scheduling, budgeting, production, post-production, talent casting and crew staffing .


Provide and lead production solutions across departments and with external partners in support of strategic content initiatives including media partner co-productions and branded content activations Watch day-to-day content operations including global content localization, content archive management, and internal requests for PR/event coverage and partner activations Support cross-team functions of the Content Operations group including Account Management, Data Analysis & Research and Digital Products Build and run and network of external production resources both overseas and domestically to support diverse formats including broadcast, digital, social, lifestyle, animation, and influencer-driven content


Work closely with Legal and Finance teams to lead all aspects of vendor management including procurement, budgeting, and intellectual property usage


Required Skills/Knowledge:


10+ years content production experience at a major network/studio/agency


Excellent social and communication skills with a track record of leading complex productions across cultures, languages and timezones Technical expertise in all aspects of production and post-production including current technology such as HD/4K, mobile content creation, VR, and SFX Relevant portfolio including franchise productions in traditional or digital/social formats, branded content, and celebrity/KOL integration


Extensive professional network and relationships with production groups and talent in Greater China


Strong understanding of China social media platforms and digital content trends for Weibo, Douyin, Yizhibo, WeChat, and QZone


Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization while leading and developing an agile team


Knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA, WNBA, NBA 2K, and G League and their players, coaches, and teams


Fluency in English and Mandarin (verbal and written)


Experience in a sports-related industry is a plus


Education:


Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant field of study
