Lead project management of North America efforts to develop regionally relevant marketing and visual merchandising assets and / or modify existing assets to support North America defined business objectives, partner with cross-functional Global teams including Marketing, Online and Creative and Visual Merchandising (as applicable) to ensure output adheres to Brand guidelines and reflects Brand equity.
Partner with Global Creative Operations and Creative, Visual Merchandising and Store Design to outline needs, timing and delivery of Global assets for use across channels (i.e., in store, brand.com, retailer.com) and platforms.
Manage programs for use across channels (i.e., in store, retailer programs), platforms or retail partners, communicating with cross-functional partners within North America and Global to track and monitor all steps in the Creative process ensuring adherence to defined project guidelines including timelines and budget.
Lead management of both seasonal, launch and promotional updates for department store and specialty multi and that timelines and budget are met, with flawless execution.
Develop regional specific briefs that outline needs for new launches and evergreen assets across multiple channels (i.e. in store, brand.com, retailer.com) and advertising uses (digital, social, print, coop catalog, coop mailer). Role will work across various functional teams to get input and create brief. Develop and closely timing to ensure delivery is on time and within scope of regional needs.
Lead full scope of project management for North America led asset creation by channel, platform and retailer across categories. Partner with North America, Global teams and outside agencies (as applicable) to ensure brief is created and needs / timing are met while adhering to Global guidelines and staying within budget.
Partner with cross-functional North America teams inclusive of Marketing, Account Management and Sales & Education to manage projects aligned against business goals, ultimately driving the development and implementation of assets that support the strategic priorities as outlined by the region.
Establish deadlines based on cross-functional inputs related to overall department goals, ensure team is aware of key milestone dates, and communicate issues related to staying on schedule.
Project manage development of North America led digital marketing asset creation including social content, influencer content, all non-promotional site content and other digital assets including video.
Manage workflow and schedules for creative programs based upon volume, deadlines, and priorities. Capture milestone dates and overall timelines regularly validating and adjusting timelines as needed. Incorporate senior management and retailer approvals.
Spearhead programs in development with outside agencies inclusive of developing brief based on input from relevant teams, meeting timelines, managing approval process and adhering to budget.
Lead project management of Co-op approval process ensuring output meets brand standards. Manage timelines and approval process with internal teams (Global Promotions, Global Creative Operations and NOAM Cross Functional Teams) and external vendors (retailers/production vendors). Traffic advertising materials to retailers
Facilitate relationships between teams, moving process forward, finding resources, reworking schedules, raising concerns to appropriate owner’s early and resolving open issues that prevent progress.
Oversee each phase of the internal and external approval process; including approval of copy, scripts, layout, art, mechanical, translations, blueprints and receipt of printed samples.
Predict potential roadblocks and obstacles properly advising on timelines and raising flags when dates will not be met; establish meetings or integration points between teams to find solutions.
Coordinate resources across multiple project initiatives and teams.
Inform internal and external teams of potential budget or scheduling problems. Provide suggested solutions and options.
Produce ongoing status reports, track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately, or take timely action to mitigate delays.
Issue revised timetables and supplemental estimates when program changes impact dates and costs.
Initiate directive to begin work process on all programs based upon receipt of screened and approved work requests.
Manage frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events, and time-sensitive, fast-paced situations.
Demonstrate leadership when working in close alignment with cross-functional teams.
Conduct regular meetings with all stakeholders, identify roadblocks, undertake continuous adjustments with stakeholders in a persuasive manner, and as needed, escalate issues and risks to Senior Management. Develop meeting agenda and issue post meeting recaps outlining next steps, timing and task owner.
Conduct regular status meetings with point persons from relevant departments to assure the coordination of all projects. Review and update internal status report on a weekly basis to maintain clear communication.
Oversee coordination of all needs for photo and video shoots (i.e., product comps, props, etc.)
Manage Creative Budget, order supplies and manage freelance schedules and time cards.
Work with Agencies on finding freelance talent
Undergraduate College degree, MBA is a plus.
Position requires 8 years relevant work experience in a traffic/operations environment.
Previous experience leading a large team is a must
Experience partnering with Creative and Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams to deliver digital and printed marketing materials for launches , promos, holiday and all USDS and Specialty Multi business, and retailer specific business
General knowledge of digital asset creation (display media, mobile, social, video), print production, collateral materials, art, VM programs and direct mail.
Position requires strong leadership skills and project management skills. Must be capable of handling numerous projects in fast-paced, high-pressure environment ensuring deliverables are achieved on time while maintaining the highest quality.
Ability to build strong relationships both internally and with outside vendors.
Must be pro- active, solutions oriented.
Knowledge of the functions of marketing, creative, visual merchandising operations, and trafficking within a cosmetics or other related industry.
Beauty/retail experience is a plus.
Interest and willingness to refine processes in an operational creative environment.
Excellent written and oral communications, excellent presentation skills, ability to personally organize and set priorities and to influence others.
Agility and flexibility are key.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. Adobe Creative Suites is a plus.
