The Business Intelligence department is tasked with harnessing the power of data, analytics and technology to track, report and forecast business KPIs, arm sales & service managers with the data they need, customize fan experience, analyze event business performance, and assist in improving strategic decision-making for the Seattle Kraken, Climate Pledge Arena and the Kraken Training Center. 


The Director of CRM and Data Systems will guide the way the organization collects, stores, and utilizes data to inform decisions across the business (sales and service managers, game and event ticketing, email marketing, etc.). The person best suited for this role is a proven data-driven CRM and data warehouse leader with strong expertise in data system architecture and configuration, data management and optimization strategies, and audience segmentation. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee data system implementations and data warehouse connections  

Work with data system vendors to make system configurations and customizations that best fit the needs of the team, arena and training center

Directly manage, mentor and develop a team responsible for maintaining and optimizing the CRM, data warehouse and other data analytics tools

Lead training for associates and leadership on system functionality, capabilities, and best practices, as well as use proactive tactics to create opportunities to expand data usage throughout the organization

Oversee day-to-day administration including data entry, data cleansing, user support and training across multiple data systems 

Collaborate with sales, marketing, partnerships, and finance to understand system usage, data requests and reporting needs. Advise the teams on CRM best practices to streamline automations and deliver optimum results

Oversee fan segmentation and customized list generation for the Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena events 

All other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Qualifications:

5+ years CRM, data science, data engineering, and/or analytics experience

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university in computer science, math, engineering, or other quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field

Proficiency with CRM and data warehouse systems (Salesforce and KORE Software highly preferred)

Experience with SQL or other database languages, data science and statistical software (R, Python or SAS), and data visualization tools (Tableau)

Relevant sports industry experience

Strong technical acumen and proven experience delivering comprehensive CRM and data warehouse solutions that yielded positive business results

A strong mentor and coach who is a collaborative leader capable of leading and motivating others

Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first.

Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator


Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

Experience with Ticketmaster/Archtics


Working Conditions:

Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required

Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
