The Senior Analytical Services Director plans, directs and coordinates the Analytical Services and Category Management functions to ensure client and customer sales and profitability objectives are met.

Responsibilities


Essential Functions:


1. Responsible for providing positive leadership that establishes and maintains Acosta’s analytical services/category management leadership


2. Organizes and structures teams to ensure maximum productivity while achieving the optimum results


3. Evaluates and purchases software and data services required to complete objectives


4. Develops, in collaboration and other executives, broad policies for the development of new processes and systems to ensure productive use of all resources to deliver the best quality information and service to our clients and customers


5. Responsible for maintaining presentations that clearly show that Acosta is the correct choice for potential new clients


6. Develops and executes analytical services/category management plans and programs, both short- and long-range, to ensure profitable growth and expansion for Acosta, our clients, and our customers


7. Evaluates competitors to ensure Acosta is continuing to offer leading edge services


8. Establishes both regional and national objectives for analytical services/category management in collaboration with EVP’s


9. Develops training and career paths to establish Acosta as a great place to work


10. Develops and recommends the pricing strategy for analytical services that will result in being competitive and will deliver incremental revenue and profit

Qualifications


Education Requirements:


Bachelor’s Degree

Work Experience Requirements:


A minimum of 10-12 years’ experience in marketing, sales and/or comparable background from industry sources


A minimum of 5 years of leadership in analytics with direct reports


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:


Visionary leader and strategic thinker who will lead the Acosta Analytic Services team to become the preferred solution for clients looking to understand market dynamics and business insights


Must have a broad knowledge of the CPG industry, the different software and systems used such as plan-o-gram software, syndicated services, presentation tools and the different category management processes


Must also have excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate to both small and large groups effectively


Must also have good negotiating skills for acquiring required services and software
