Cement DTC & Amazon business as cornerstone of overall company. Lead a growing digital marketing team focused on awareness, acquisition, activation, retention and revenue through paid and owned marketing channels. This role will drive revenue and business viability through expertise and innovation in the following areas:

ACQUISITION & RETENTION

Yearly, monthly, and daily revenue and acquisition projection models based on growth patterns, promotions, spend, and market economics for Amazon and client website

Channel contribution model and plan based on investment, resources, and industry benchmarks 

Cohort analysis and retention modeling with current and target repeat rate, reporting monthly against repeat rate goals, reporting on insights as to why cohorts performed differently

Build seasonal ecommerce strategy, ensuring all projects support the brand strategy and contribute to growth

Develop and implement the seasonal online marketing calendars to marry the offline marketing initiatives

Retention strategy and execution including but not limited to customer experience, personalization, automation, and loyalty

Paid spend management, creative marketing strategy, and ongoing optimizations with agency, reporting daily against traffic, revenue, and ROAS goals

MoM and YoY weekly trend reporting against plan, identifying any risk to the business early and escalating with a report on key issues and plans to mitigate

Partner with creative to ensure assets meet ecommerce needs – delivering briefs and asset checklists and working in a 360 way across other functions to deliver a cohesive program

Strategy, oversight, and optimization for all channels driving to .com (paid media, affiliate, email, SMS, SEO, etc)

Strategy and real time management of all heavy promotional periods where substantial revenue is delivered (Cyber Week, etc)

ASSORTMENT & EXCLUSIVES

Ongoing site merchandising to increase cross category purchase and basket size

Work with demand planner on the item-level sales and inventory plans for all categories, ensuring these plans reflect a balance unique to the channel audience and roll up to the channel’s topline financial targets

Develop strategies to avoid marketplace disruption / channel conflict with current retail partners

Partner with the Global Marketing team on e-commerce exclusives, price elasticity, merchandising decisions and strategies

Execute an online merchandising experience for .com and Amazon that supports each channel’s financial and inventory plans while at the same time meeting or exceeding customer expectations

Translate Global Marketing product and brand initiatives into compelling digital experiences that reflect the brand while creating an exceptional customer experience

With demand planner, provide relevant sales and trend data to Global Marketing team to inform future line plans

Identify business opportunities and risks through analyzing sales performance and gathering marketplace information

DIGITAL PRODUCT & CONSUMER EXPERIENCE

Build platform and technology foundation for 3 and 5 year plans, with an eye to future retail innovations and consumer behavior 

Calculate ROI for new program launches or new innovations online and provide recommendations for implementation

Ownership and management of digital product roadmap and functional specifications including user experience design, content navigation, information architecture, branding/marketing, performance and functionality

Ownership and management of technical infrastructure, maintain integrity of Shopify platform, ensuring that code changes or application additions do not compromise core functionality of platform or speed of site, and maintain website hosting security

Technical vendor management and support – clear and consistently updated systems map with data flow, redundancies and failover in place, and clear list of contacts at each platform

Ongoing compliance and regulatory for data handling and security (GDPR, CCPA, etc)

Evaluate, configure and execute cross border solutions to support scalable global growth; including shipping carriers, DDP solutions, localized currency, preferred payment providers and translation development

Onboard Customer Data Platform and integrate into infrastructure 

Create a compelling online product experience, including inspirational merchandise presentations, simple and intuitive category navigation, and clear and accurate product details

Determine needs for videos, alternate views of products, home page assortments, guided shopping, collection banners, and landing pages that promote revenue optimization

Facilitate integrations when applicable from Shopify+ to NetSuite

Propose additions to and optimize customer experience across logistics, shipment packaging, and customer care to increase sales performance and reduce inbound customer issues

Management of customer service team and customer experience
