Essential Job functions: * Manage internal financial control process for Summit entities ensuring compliance to GAAP. * Advise the Chief Financial Officer, on fiscal matters and participates in the formulation of fiscal policy. Interpret such policy to executive officers and department heads and advises on financial matters. * Supervise and participate in the preparation of financial reporting and the annual audit * Ensure adherence to accounting policies, and oversee accounting systems * Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, * Manage the relationships between Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Planning and Analysis Treasury, and General Ledger functions. * Manage a team of 15 accounting professionals. Physical Job Requirements: * Endurance o At several times throughout the year, this individual may need to work for prolonged periods of time that could require extensive typing, meetings, and longer hours

Job Requirements

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements: * A valid New York or New Jersey State Certified Public Accountant license * Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a related field. * Master's degree from accredited college * Experience with top tier 1 ERP financial management system; * An understanding of public sector financial practices. * CPA preferred, but not required
