Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this position requires a true leader with the ability to translate business needs into technical deliverables and implement change.
The Director of Marketing Technology + Data oversees selection, development and management of all marketing technology systems (client relationship management, experience management, proposal development and automation, email marketing, web content management, and analytics) and integration with other key firm data management systems. The Director oversees a team responsible for maintaining and improving data quality across all marketing systems. Collaborating closely with our business development, core marketing and communications teams, the Director is responsible for adapting and evolving the current marketing technology and data management function to meet the firm’s growing business needs.
The Director of Marketing Technology + Data will work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, the firm’s Program Management Office and Information Technology teams to:
Develop strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm’s marketing and business development efforts using technology
Evaluate, select and oversee implementation of new and upgraded marketing technology. This includes technical project management, internal client management and product-to-goal quality assurance.
Develop best practices for constant improvement of data quality across all systems
Ensure reporting and dashboards meet business needs and are user-friendly and easily accessible
Use analytics to evaluate usage and improve adoption and quality of results across systems
Understand and ensure compliance with global anti-SPAM and data privacy laws and regulations, as well as legal industry ethical rules
Lead the marketing technology team in all aspects of system administration including system maintenance and troubleshooting
Champion user adoption and conduct trainings as needed
Collaborate closely with technology leaders from other areas of the firm to develop and adhere to global data governance guidelines
Develop and maintain documentation on business processes
Qualifications and Requirements
7 – 10 years of experience in a marketing technology/systems roles ideally in a professional services organizations
3-5 years of experience managing a team
Knowledge of marketing automation technology
Strong project management and process implementation skills
Experience overseeing outside vendors on technology implementation projects
Ability to identify and analyze issues, develop solutions and make sound decisions
Minimum BA, BS or degree equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
Functional and technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics CRM configuration; certifications in Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus but not required.
Travel to other Goodwin offices and key events is required.
