As the Director of Corporate Communications & Brand, your job will be to lead Thrasio’s communications work and help shepherd our organization into the next level of positioning within its category. This is a manager role within the corporate marketing department. You will be responsible for overall brand and communications strategy, for managing the staff carrying out the organization's media relations, social media, community, and product work, for helping the organization establish consistent messaging across communications and growth efforts. 


Responsibilities:


Act as steward for Thrasio’s communications strategy, narrative framework, and messaging to generate awareness and pipeline.

Manage, support, and develop a growing team encompassing PR, creative, social media, and more—to ensure our communications across channels are effective and carry consistent messages that build our brand; assess, plan, develop, implement, and QC Thrasio’s external presence across website messaging, social media, conference presence and more, in partnership with other teams.

Oversee all public relations activity in collaboration with internal stakeholders & external agency and freelance resources; ensure a swift flow of content through marketing and regulatory review processes.

Define, measure and report on the performance of our brand including awareness, brand relevance, and sentiment in addition to growth in direct seller traffic and engagement.

Work closely with Content & Growth owners to ensure voice of our Amazon sellers are represented throughout channels in support of Thrasio’s business goals.

Move quickly and be opportunistic: You are skilled at identifying new opportunities that build the Thrasio brand and you are creative in coming up with ideas that can draw attention and carry a message.

Conduct relevant market research to measure brand reputation, monitor trends and adjust the brand strategy as appropriate.

Participate in internal communication projects as needed.


What you bring to the party:


8+ of experience in progressive roles in ecommerce b2b marketing, and have a deep understanding of ecommerce and media

Practical skills and abilities in media relations, and at least one additional area: social media, creative content production, brand management, product marketing, and/or community management

3+ of experience managing and leading high-performing staff; influential and able to motivate teams toward a common goal

Excellent communications skills: You are a compelling storyteller, editor, and oral communicator in various mediums and formats - fast at drafting talking points that use crisp and succinct messages

Excellent strategic judgment and intuition; you connect-the-dots with limited information and are not shy to make decisions 

A collaborative, self-starter who relishes getting their hands dirty and knows how to drive projects from inception to execution
