Minimum qualifications:


 


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.


10 years of experience collaborating with various teams such as Program Management, Product Management, Engineering, Management Consulting, Operations or Finance.


10 years of experience building out platforms, infrastructure.


7 years of experience in managing internal infrastructure, developer tools or distributed computing infrastructure.


Preferred qualifications:


 


Experience working with Cloud, Tools and infrastructure, Network and/ or Storage.


Experience with Java and C++ and developer tools.


Hands-on technical experience.


Demonstrated ability to run test engineering.


About the job


As the Director of Engineering Productivity, Compute/Network, you will drive the Engineering Productivity strategy for the Google Cloud Platform and lead a team that focuses on the build, test, release and monitoring of the Infrastructure for Google’s products. As part of the Google Cloud Engineering Productivity team, you will work closely with VPs, Senior Directors and leaders across the Engineering Productivity function at Google.


 


Our team's scope ranges from developer infrastructure challenges of storage systems to low-level hardware and performance validation. Within this domain, you will manage the developer and release tools, efficiency, and test coverage story.

Responsibilities


Manage a diverse team, navigate deep technical problem spaces and lead ahead in infrastructure and tooling strategy while balancing a wide variety of projects and engagements.


Be hands-on, close to the technology and driving the direction of the organization with conviction and experience.


Support product teams with test, performance, processes and tools.


Drive, manage, support and oversee the multiple Cloud of Technical Infrastructure-wide efforts that Cloud Engineering Productivity is engaged with.


Manage the portfolio of Cloud products.
