We are looking for a Director of Global Talent Attraction who is passionate about innovative recruiting strategies, analytics, talent and culture for a complex, global organization. In this role, you will develop, drive and manage a global talent attraction / recruitment strategy for the Company to impact the talent requirements of our business segments and functions, improve their leadership requirements, general staffing levels and skill requirements in order to achieve the company’s goals.You will be collaborating with executive level leaders, Human Resource leaders, internal & external recruiters, communications and other key stakeholders. You will be responsible for the long-term talent agenda to grow our teams with qualified talent to achieve our business goals. (a) Interactions / Activity Based:

●The Director of Global Talent Attraction (TA) serves as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT), reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

●Monitors and measures the results of the Talent Acquisition Strategy to ensure that it is meeting the organizational imperatives and then prepares and presents regular updates and reports at senior levels of the organization to demonstrate the progress and impacts of the strategy as vital to the enablers for the organization’s strategic plan.  

●Manages and leads a Global Talent Acquisition team, including North America, Mexico, Europe and Asia, that focuses on talent acquisition activities for all in scope positions through full cycle recruitment.

●Supports the HR leadership team on strategic initiatives, including providing expert advice around workforce planning and sourcing and recruitment strategies in partnership with the HR Business Partners, Director of Total Rewards and talent acquisition team.

●Partners with marketing and communication leads to develop overarching strategies to driveCelestica’s employment brand across multiple channels to reach more candidates and increase the candidate pipeline..

●Partners with the business to identify challenges and areas of improvement and creates and drives creative and innovative Talent Attraction practices. 

●Works collaboratively as a trusted partner with clients and stakeholders to develop creative and thoughtful strategies/approaches that address their talent acquisition and workforce planning requirements to ensure organizational human capital retention.

●Works closely with regional HR heads to plan and build a recruitment strategy in support of workforce planning for future business growth globally. Acts as a consultant to leadership for workforce planning in order to create proactive attraction strategies to ensure business and customer needs are met. 

(b) Talent Attraction Strategies:

●Responsible for global talent acquisition strategy and supporting programs that aligns to and enables the overall organizational and people related strategies.

●Work closely with the CHRO and other senior leaders for the recruitment of executive level positions.Develop appropriate strategies with the challenges of senior positions including confidential searches.

●Provides subject matter expertise, oversight and leadership for all recruiting strategies, initiatives, and tactics.

●Streamline and improve social media tools, technology-based processes, external recruiting partners, policies and procedures that will simplify the effective execution of our talent acquisition practice and workforce planning while meeting the significant administrative obligations of a large recruitment function. 

●Acts as a professional practice lead for the functional stream of talent acquisition, selection methodologies and workforce predictive analytics and planning.

(c) Reporting / Analytics

●Analytical reports that provide leaders / hiring managers with accurate measurement of results.

●Standard reports will include, but is not limited to, aging of requisitions, by country, by business and/or function.Meet regularly with business leaders & HRBPs to discuss the recruitment status for their organization.

●Understand the current recruitment trends and the industry/market to identify the impact upon the business.

●Ensures compliance with the respective policies, procedures and relevant legislation regarding processes and appointments to positions

●Develops a suite of key performance indicators, monitors and reports on the metrics performance used to track hiring success, measure progress toward goals, and adjust plans to respond to the organization’s evolving hiring and retention requirements.

(d) Innovation:

●Champions continuous improvement in the talent acquisition strategy for the organization including use of innovative practices and technology enablers to deliver an exceptional experience for all stakeholders.

●Acts as the functional expert and consultant to the HR managers and leadership on all attraction activities which impact Celestica’s ability to attract and retain high caliber employees.

●Partner with other HR leaders to drive the Diversity and Inclusion strategy for Celestica. 

●Work with market partners to source from schools, organizations and other affiliations to be innovative with sourcing strategies.


●Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations and Engineering.

●Knowledge of Human Resources principles and Talent Attraction methodologies. 

●Experience working in large, global organizations across time zones. 

●Familiarity with KPI frameworks to interpret research results and inform data driven decision-making

●Experience with workforce planning and statistical analysis

●Understanding of protocols in labour practices relevant to recruitment

●Experience with HRIS systems and other HR Systems and Tools

●Applied experience with Corporate & Financial planning, budgeting

●Ability to HR manage and thrive within ambiguity

●Ability to create and implement strategy for major recruitment campaigns and programs 

●Ability to consult business leaders and managers on recruitment needs and drive workforce planning strategies. 

●Ability to manage a global team and provide ongoing support and training to talent attraction teams. 

In addition, possess excellent relationship and communications skills, a consultative leadership style, a passion for leading change and transformation, as well as a strategic orientation and the ability to link people and organizational practices to strategy

Typical Experience:

●A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Commerce or related field required

●Canadian Human Resources Practitioner (CHRP)

●Minimum of 10 years of talent acquisition
