Lead the assessment of all strategically important Corporate Transactions and the development of supporting transaction rationales, structuring commercial solutions and bid strategies which will allow AIA to pursue strategically important inorganic growth opportunities that will deliver superior returns and will support continued growth in shareholder value

Responsible for the following in relation to all potential Corporate Transactions

Review of/or development of transaction rationale and initial assessment development /review of initial assessment, covering transaction rationale and initial opportunity assessment for consideration of Group CEO, RCEs, CFO and Group Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer, determination of/advising which opportunities are not strategically important and should not be recommend for further investigation

Deal development including, managing the process for developing the valuation and financial modelling of all transactions approved for further investigation, working collaboratively with Group Office functional teams and Business Unit teams as needed, developing valuation, payment structure and bid strategy recommendations for consideration by the Corporate Transaction Committee (CTC) which are commercial, practical and sustainable and will allow AIA to deliver superior returns, review of the transaction business case and synergy assessment, working collaboratively with Group Office functional teams and Business Unit teams as needed, review of potential pursuit plans, covering pursuit strategy for opportunities approved to undergo further assessment, participating in management meetings and workshops with potential business partners and their advisors

Transaction execution and closing including, provide valuation and commercial assessment input into all transaction deliverablesincluding corporate communications and announcements, offer letters, workshop materials, management meeting questions, due diligence assessments and legal documentation, provide valuation and commercial assessment input into all internal transaction governance deliverables including CTC meeting materials and updates seeking approval/guidance from the CTC for all potential transactions and board updates as needed, support deal commercial negotiations, review of transaction transition and integration plans, development of transaction tracking KPI’s in collaboration with Group Finance, RCE Offices and GPD

Collaborate with all internal stakeholders including Group Office functions (such as RCE Offices, Actuarial, Finance, Risk, GPD and Legal) and Business Unit teams (and external advisors when engaged) to facilitate the comprehensive assessment and identification of options available to AIA such that opportunities considered are those that will support continued superior growth in shareholder value

Contribute to the development of best practice tools, resources, and processes to support the development of business plans and commercial proposals for potential M&A/partnership distribution transactions

Assist and/or provide guidance to other teamsacross the Group (including Business Units) to evaluate and execute strategically important growth opportunities and other strategic projects and initiatives in line with above responsibilities
