Responsible for the campus human resources and payroll functions, with specific responsibilities for administration of: College policies and procedures, employee relations, performance management legal compliance, compensation,, training and talent development, benefits and HRIS. Primarily responsible for the implementation of human resources programs that support College goals and objectives, operating within established timelines and budgets. The position is accountable for the campus human resources department operations and administration.
Provide leadership and direction in creating and maintaining a campus environment conducive to racial and cultural diversity.
Responsible for the recruitment process for campus faculty and staff positions including ATS management, posts positions, reviews applications, schedules interviews, conducts background checks, and prepares and makes job offers.
Conduct new employee orientation and on-boarding.
Implements employment policies and operating procedures in conformance with guidelines established by the College.
Responsible for maintaining upto date personnel records and files, including appropriate salary, job classification, position management, evaluation, benefits data, and faculty transcript compliance. Reviews and monitors employee data entered into HRIS to ensure validity and accuracy.
Responsible for campus payroll including data entry of all faculty assignments, pay rates, adjustments, benefitsdeductions, uploads tax forms and direct deposit forms to Systems Office
In collaboration with Systems Office HR, administers campus workers’ compensation, risk management, leaves of absence, benefits, and wellness program.
In collaboration with Systems Office Talent Development, implements employee professional development and training initiatives and tracks employee completion.
Reviews the annual Affirmative Action Plan and establishes appropriate goals. Assists in promoting diversity initiatives within the campus.
Directs the completion of annual performance reviews and annual review of job descriptions.
Provides counsel and advice to campus supervisors and employees on employee relations and performance issues.
Works collaboratively with the College General Counsel’s office and Systems Office Human Resources on employment related matters.
Serves as the campus HR representative in legal proceedings, working with the College General Counsel.
Plans and oversees the annual campus Employee Recognition Program.
Work with regional leaders to identify diversity and inclusion goals, and to encourage and support efforts to recruit and retain a diverse student body, faculty, and staff offering appropriate assistance to schools and departments to achieve diverse applicant pools for academic and staff positions.
Initiate programs, training sessions, workshopsand discussions to foster institutional awareness of, and commitment to, student, faculty, and staff diversity goals, including diversity awareness, gender equity and equal opportunity for all qualified candidates for appointment and promotion.
As a member of the statewide diversity committee, work with campus leadership to ensure the College's three pillars for diversity, equity, and inclusion are put into practice by faculty, staff, and students.
Attend scheduled statewide human resources and diversity meetings.
Implement and monitor any programs and processes, developed by the statewide diversity committee to promote and sustain equity and inclusion and achieve diversity for the campus and provide data-driven results supporting effectiveness.
Support, implement, and help to evaluate long-range diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and objectives set by the statewide diversity committee.
Lead the development and implementation of diversity plans for the campus.
Meet with internal and external community partners to create awareness of and increase supplier diversity.
Provide training programs to faculty, staff, and students that support the understanding and use of principles and techniques that assure diverse members of our campus community participate in all levels of the campus.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
Three years’ work experience in a human resources department and three years’ of payroll experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration required.
Must be adept at resolving individual and group conflicts, and have excellent problem solving, decision making and written and oral communication skills.
Requires a highly self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership abilities and hands on approach to analyze, develop and administer HR programs in a complex organization.
Ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
Must have a strong customer service focus and service delivery approach and be able to travel.
Demonstrate the ability to empathize with and relate to special populations, particularly racially and culturally diverse individuals.
Master’s Degree or related professional certification preferred.
ATS and HRIS experience; Microsoft Office Suite experience; Working knowledge of federal and state regulations
