Reporting to the Senior Director and General Manager, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for all aspects of the marketing strategy to support the launch and positioning of this new luxury brand. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading and implementing the marketing approach to support short, mid-term and long-term strategic objectives. The successful individual will ensure branding consistency, central brand messaging, and clarity and quality of all product information.
The Director of Marketing will manage the brand marketing, advertising, media, and PR strategies, the digital customer experience (CRM & marketing automation strategy), trade marketing strategy, and a $15M plus budget. He /she will work closely with key partners in product development, sales, customer service as well as dealers and distributors. This individual will be considered one of the key internal and external representatives of the brand and must be able to successfully engage their audience cross-functionally.
It will be expected in the first 90 days that the Director of Marketing will meet with the product engineers and spend time in the manufacturing facilities to understanding the innovation behind the products and get to know the forward thinking individuals that are developing the Signature Kitchen Suite brand. Additionally, it’s essential that the Director of Marketing be able to connect not only with the distributors and dealers, but also the design/trade community. By connecting with Signatures Kitchen Suite core customers, the marketing team will be able to communicate the market trends and drivers to help the product engineers create the ideal products. It’s crucial that the Director of Marketing is cognizant of the changes in the marketplace.
The successful candidate must be 100% engaged in the everyday business. S/he must know how to set priorities and develop the right strategies, and deliver on the said deadlines. The Director of Marketing must assess the effectiveness of marketing programs and determine/ensure ROI on marketing investments. It’s highly advantageous if the potential Director of Marketing has a sales background (Not a requirement) and has experience working closely with customer service. It’s important that this person has the ability to hone in on what the customers want and look to the future for their needs. The effective candidate will be strategic beyond their own department and assist other departments in achieving their goals.
As leader of the marketing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the corporate objectives for the Signature Kitchen Suite brand are met. This position is responsible for developing and leading the marketing strategies and tactics to:
Effectively communicate and promote new products focusing on the benefits of their features (including design, performance, & quality) to distributors, retailer dealers, designers, builder’s specifiers and consumers.
Create & provide new product launch communication. Support & manage national programs including National Consumer Promotion, Kitchen Design Contest, CEU’s, & Signature Kitchen Suite Co-op Program, create and preference for the new Signature Kitchen Suite brand.
Provide Voice of Customer and competitive data to the New Product Development and Advanced Development Teams to ensure that their new products meet the expectations of their target consumers and channel partners.
Build credibility with the high-end trade by increasing their confidence in specifying our products as well as promoting them as valued Signature Kitchen Suite partners.
Determining new brand advertising campaigns that will resonate well with consumers and trade target audiences.
Choosing communications / media mix strategies to ensure the right product & brand information is provided in the right format (print, digital, etc) at the right time as it relates to the consumer purchase process.
Defining key strategies and programs to own the high-end trade.
Manage creative, media, PR, collateral, branding strategy.
Trade show execution.
Leads fulfillment, distributor marketing materials.
Support customer service in regards to Owner satisfaction metrics & surveys, , Certified Installer program, Specifications & Installation documents, and Sales accessories.
Travel required 50%
A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred;
10 years experience in leadership marketing roles with major consumer brand durable goods companies is required;
Experience in Product Marketing as it pertains to product marketing communications and product management strongly desired;
Must have brand, channel and digital marketing background;
Experience in managing complex projects with national advertising agency, external marketing teams, and distributor partners to maximize ROI and deliver the branding strategy is preferred;
Professional experience in B2B and B2C marketing required;
B2B2C marketing would be advantageous;
Must have demonstrable decision-making skills and intuition to deliver impactful brand building communications and insightful Voice of Consumer (VOC) messaging and positioning;
Experience in B2B marketing in a relationship-focused business model (as opposed to transactional) is preferred. Includes product marketing, value proposition development and strategic leadership marketing campaigns;
Experience with B2C marketing, which will entail market insights and segmentation, life-cycle contact strategy and development of marketing programs designed to increase asset retention, is required;
Demonstrated successes working effectively with sales teams is requried;
Budget management experience, including PR, advertising, creative services and production is required;
Must possess excellent quantitative skills combined with superior communication skills;
Proven leadership/management skills with effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills is required;
Must be a highly engaged leader who is cognizant of the changes in the marketplace;
Ability to build consensus and obtain organizational alignment for initiatives is required;
A demonstrated track record of influencing priorities and motivating cross-functional partners for support is preferred;
Strong prioritization, project management, time management and organizational skills is preferred;
Detail-oriented and who can also think strategically/communicate strategic implications is preferred;
Must possess excellent presentation and public speaking skills;
