Interactive Brokers is looking for technology-focused staff in its Compliance department to direct the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) model governance, risk assessment, and control testing program. This position requires fluency with sophisticated data analysis methodologies and knowledge of relational database design.
Establish and maintain model tuning and segmentation methodology.
Develop and execute testing plans for all models, including transaction monitoring reports.
Optimize programmatic thresholds applied to all transaction monitoring reports.
Plan and execute the firm’s AML risk assessments and testing plans.
Maintain and enhance risk management policies and methodologies.
Outline data requirements and conduct analysis of big data sets to measure risk factors and controls.
Liaise with business partners on new initiatives, products, and other matters as it relates to risk assessments and develop automated solutions that satisfy relevant regulations while executing sound business judgment.
3+ years of experience executing sophisticated model tuning, control testing, and risk assessment analysis, preferably at a large broker or other financial institution with an international customer base.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
Exposure to UNIX/Linux.
Knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, risk management and controls.
Outstanding leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Ability to work under pressure, formulate and articulate solutions and defend assumptions.
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar certification preferred.
Business Process Management or similar certifications are a plus.
