As the Director of Operations, you have an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior business leaders to run operations for PlanetArt and contribute to driving PlanetArt’s overall content supply chain. Ideally, you have strong supply chain operations experience, personalized products or photo printing background and have successfully built and led efficient teams. You are a savvy business operator who ensures effective and efficient running of business operations, closing all the gaps as needed (no detail is left in the “undefined/unknown” state). You have a seamless ability to communicate with multi-disciplined and multi-cultural colleagues as well as key partners and strategic suppliers, at all levels of management. You are an expert in managing dependencies, steering teams towards milestones, and collaborating across multiple stakeholders, partners, and suppliers.

What You’ll Do:

This is a critical leadership role and will oversee all aspects of operations: out-sourced manufacturing, logistics, supply chain management, demand planning. You will be critical to the success of the team and will partner with marketing, sales, and finance.

Develop forward looking plans to drive business growth, focusing on operational plans to support business scale and management of clear business requirements.

Hands on, multi brand, multi-unit leadership, directly involved in the day to day operations and leading the Operations team.

Lead, develop, motivate and empower employees to deliver operational best practice, identifying opportunities and making recommendations for improving efficiency and quality of service and operating standards.

Lead and supervise the Operations Manager/Operations Coordinator to insure day to day goals and objectives are met.

Curate a culture of development of talent and succession planning model to support future company growth.

Utilize innovation to achieve strategic objectives.

Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of departments and staff in meeting objectives

Provide clear & frequent project updates to the executive team that define project status, schedule, & risks.

Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.

Manage action plans (daily, weekly, monthly) for implementation, sustainment, and counter measures of operations KPIs and metrics.

Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation

Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

Manage relationships/agreements with external partners and vendors, including international

Travel required – 20%-25%

International travel will be required.

What You Should Have:

8+ years of operations background experience (preferably in personalized products or photo printing).

Experience managing vendors in the United States and abroad.

Distinctive problem-solving, and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.

Respectfully assertive, detail-oriented, and able to accommodate tight deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives.

Outstanding analytical, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Keen ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality/discretion.

Nimble and agile in working tactical and strategic solutions.

Demonstrated strength in relationship building and consulting skills with success in influencing people at all levels; strong facilitator, skilled at leading multiple, complex projects.

Have a collaborative style with a willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams, as both a leader and a supporting team member.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).

Ability to understand and drive ROI/business case analysis.
