AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Director of Operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Serves as AVI’s day-to-day client food service contact, fostering positive client relationships and communications

Oversees and works alongside the AVI teams responsible for dining and catering including assisting in the preparation of food for catered events 

Accountable for achieving sound financial results

Leads the budgeting process for this location

Motivates and sets expectations for team members

Provides leadership and direction for timely decisions

Creates and leads presentations at client meetings

Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork that encourages staff to work collaboratively

Works with the highest level of integrity and actively promotes AVI’s Core Values

Ensures the highest level of food quality and customer service are attained, and that programs are executed in accordance with AVI Standards

Culinary responsibilities including, but not limited to demonstration cooking, recipe and menu development


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Requirements:


Minimum of 3 years management level contract food service experience, inclusive of regular client interaction

Must possess a culinary degree, culinary certification or be eligible for culinary certification

Strong operations background, preferably including exposure to contract dining functions

Demonstrated success in managing and developing teams to achieve desired results

Proficiency with financial aspects of the role, from budgeting to interpreting results and interacting with AVI’s management team

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong working computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel software

Willingness and desire to take an involved, hands-on approach with leading the business
