Job Purpose:

The Director of Sales, Storage Solutions is responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, closing and maintaining new storage and storage appliances opportunities. The person will work closely with the development team in Colorado Springs.  He/she will be the main customer interface with engineering and purchasing departments and fully responsible to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a successful track record of closing business with CSPs and enterprise customers in the storage sector. He/she will report to the Viking Enterprise Solutions VP of Sales and work closely with the hardware and software development team.

Nature Of Duties:

·Own and meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets within your assigned territory and accounts

·Develop new accounts and implement sales strategies for those accounts 

·Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

·Engage with customers to understand their business needs and objectives

·Effectively communicate our Cloud Native Obsidian Software and Storage Appliance value proposition through proposals and presentations

·Develop insights within accounts that cause shifts in budgets and strategic direction

·Engage with R&D team to develop account relationships at technical and management levels

·Understand the software and storage appliance technology and application within customer accounts

Education And Experience:

·Prefer 10 years of experience as a sales executive 

·Prefer 5 years experience selling storage software

·Bachelor's in Business or technical degree preferred

·Experience, in meeting or exceeding targets

·Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

·Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

·Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of data storage products and services

·Proven ability to position data storage products against competitors

·Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

·Excellent verbal and written communications skills
