Define and oversee execution of VMware’s to-partner marketing and communications strategy and associated plans based on VMware business and partner ecosystem objectives
Build, lead and manage new high-performing to-partner marketing and communications team
Define, establish and lead cross-functional Partner Communications Governance Council to identify and prioritize business and communication initiatives
Collaborate with Director of VMware User Group (VMUG) Programs to support growth objectives and initiatives
Collaborate with Global Partner Sales Acceleration Team (PSAT), Strategic Corporate Alliances (SCA) Organization and Global Partner Marketing team to develop content and messaging deliverables
Work with Solution Campaign teams and other customer facing marketing teams to integrate about-partner” messaging and promote value of VMware partners for customers
Manage and continuously improve portfolio of communications vehicles (newsletters, e-mail, blogs, social media, web, partner events and virtual broadcasts, etc.), ensure timely execution of marketing and program messages and grow readership and understanding of messages among target partner and community audiences.
Work with geography channel marketing teams and partner business managers as well as the global partner team to determine requirements and ensure communication vehicles are effectively utilized.
Lead planning and execution of communications for key product launches, and Mergers & Acquisitions to partners and communities.
Ability to summarize and simplify complex information and create targeted communication to reach different partner and community audiences

12+ years and/or a proven track record of Partner and Channel Marketing and/or Partner Communications experience
Excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills; proven writing and editing skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships influence and work with cross-functional partners, business stakeholders and executives
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling priorities and tight deadlines.

Able to work with cross functional teams and senior level executives in a global organization
Proficient in PowerPoint
7-10 years of experience in high tech or software is preferred
Community experience marketing is a plus
Understanding of cloud computing technology and software sales is a plus
