OVERVIEW AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining policies that directly and indirectly impact Company’s financial statements and financial controls. The position interacts with cross functional teams on a daily basis and provides guidance for general accounting, unique transactions and operational practices.A person with business acumen, curiosity and ability to influence will enjoy the wide aspects of this role. This position reports to Corporate Controller with overarching accounting and finance responsibility.
OTHER REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Gain in-depth understanding of the Company’s operation models and business strategies.
Provide guidance on accounting interpretation and prepare or review memos on US GAAP matters.
Ensure appropriate documentation of accounting treatment of complex and highly judgmental areas, including analysis, relevant literature and conclusions.
Lead and/or partner with FP&A and business function leaders in monitoring operations and reporting of key accounting areas: internal use software, revenue, intangible, lease and etc.
Provide accounting guidance related to proposed transactions to support due diligence, special transactions, and acquisition related accounting needs.
Develop framework of company policy and draft accounting / finance policies and other related authorization matrix.
Work with business function leaders across the company to implement, update and monitor policies.
Contribute to development of cross functional processes/and or structures that improve the efficiency and timeliness of financial reporting within the organization.
Anticipate and ensure development and maintenance of robust, scalable global policies to support the company’s growth.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert to educate accounting / finance personnel and business partners across the Company to develop technical accounting awareness and talent pipeline.
Participate in special projects, as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.CPA with a Big 4 public accounting firm, strongly preferred.Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, a mix of public accounting and private industry strongly preferred. Minimum five years of people management experience. In-depth knowledge of general accounting policies and US GAAP. Strong planning, project management and analytical skills. Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.
