As Director, Product Development at MSG, you will be responsible for ensuring the product vision, strategy and roadmap are brought to life for MSG’s digital ecosystem. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to drive priorities for all product requirements, user needs, and business objectives. You will work across internal teams, including the Software Product Owner on the Engineering team, and outside agency partners to define and implement innovative product solutions that meet these needs and objectives. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day content and sponsorship needs and working with MSG Sports and Entertainment businesses to ensure needs are being met. The ideal candidate must have a proven ability to problem solve in a highly collaborative culture, experience in digital product management, experience managing cross-functional teams, and experience working with outside creative and technology partners.



Specific Functions/Activities Summary

Help define the core product vision, goals, functionality and requirements

Create clear product, project plans and roadmaps, incorporating input from internal stakeholders, keeping business priorities and user needs at the forefront

Serve as the day-to-day voice of MSG when working with external partners, consolidating input and feedback from stakeholders and making decisions to keep development moving forward

Inspect product work at the end of each development cycle and accept or reject work on behalf of business based on the originally agreed upon acceptance criteria

Manage day-to-day digital content and ensure content and products meet business needs

Primary driver of all SEO activity and best practices

Work with data and analytics to understand current performance and recommend enhancements/reprioritizations

Develop materials and presentations highlighting digital updates to share with MSG executive team



Qualifications

8+ years of experience in product management in the sports and entertainment industry

3+ years of people management experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and in person.

Experience communicating with cross functional teams and leadership team members.

Strong consumer-driven mobile/website background and understanding with an excellent grasp of the digital challenges and core technologies that drive a media/commerce business

Extensive knowledge of product and software development techniques and agile methodologies

Technical fluency to know when to challenge developers and ask pertinent questions

Deep experience in developing a web/mobile product and steering software developers and UX/UI designers

Excellent analytical skills and highly proficient in A/B testing with strong user/consumer empathy and awareness driven by qualitative research results

Flexibility to quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines

Experience with a digital media/e-commerce business
