The Director, Prepaid Product Management has regional accountability for innovation and product development and has accountability for the go-to-market strategy and commercialization of the portfolio of Prepaid products assigned. This position will have primary responsibility for the Western European markets (Benelux, France, Nordics & Baltics and Iberia). Additionally, support select markets in the High Growth Emerging markets as required.

The responsibilities include:

Develop positioning and packaging for consumer, corporate and/or government prepaid products.

Develop and drive strategy, ideation, conception, business plan development, marketing, research and validation of ideas, and ultimately implementation and commercialization of new prepaid functionality, partnerships, policies and features that support MasterCard prepaid programs.

Work closely with global prepaid product, regional leadership and sales colleagues to understand MasterCard, issuer, acquirer, merchant and customer needs and issues. Collaborate with regional sales and business development and others across the region to ensure understanding and implementation of the prepaid product strategy. Support the sales teams in identifying and onboarding new business prospects to include end to end support from customer strategy to implementation.

Support the development of strategic business and product plans for prepaid products, including rigorous business case analysis.

Collaborate with regional account teams and product sales specialist colleagues in the customer planning process to ensure that MasterCard is both responding to and bringing added prepaid value propositions to customer plans.

With Senior Vice President, lead the process of interpreting and assessing assigned opportunities for innovation identified by global prepaid product and customer facing resources.

Effectively engage Consumer and Customer Marketing, Communications, and Prepaid Member Support, and other colleagues to support the launch of new products, features and functionality.

Lead cross functional projects, identifying and including appropriate resources, budgets, departments, and customers in the creation and implementation of new prepaid products, policies and features.

A solid track record within the prepaid area

Strong operational/technical background within the payments and financial services industries

Leadership experience in product management and development

Understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends

Ability to interpret macro-economic and demographic trends, with an ability to craft research and validation processes that support the selection of features and functions that support prepaid business growth opportunities

Ability to oversee multiple projects and initiatives concurrently

Strong research and analytical skills

Business and budget planning experience

Strong presentation, written communication, and influencing skills

Superior project management skills

Education

Bachelor's degree necessary with Finance or Marketing focus or equivalent would be desirable.
