Fluidigm uses proprietary microfluidics technology to develop highly efficient multi-omics workflows for customers in a variety of markets including translational research, clinical research, and consumer genomics.
Fluidigm is looking for a Director of Product Management to support our innovative Integrated Fluidic Circuit-based product portfolio that includes tools for quantitative PCR analysis, NGS library preparation and single-cell genomics.
This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve our revenue expectations in partnership with other Marketing team members, Commercial Sales and Support and other internal partners.
The role will primarily focus on the growth of on-market products with a secondary focus on new product development.

You Will:
Lead portfolio management for on-market PCR and NGS LP product portfolios including instruments, software, reagents, consumables and assays.
Understand the dynamics, competition, demands and opportunities within our target markets
Lead cross-functional initiatives to develop and execute portfolio- and vertically-focused strategies to grow revenue and profit and achieve our marketing, and commercial objectives; present updates on milestone performance to executive leadership.
Develop business cases in support of revenue growth, including new product development, margin and channel improvements
Build marketing plans to drive growth by improving product positioning, messaging, pricing, placement, and promotion in partnership with Corporate Marketing
Build close relationships with KOLs for collaborative opportunities, to achieve market goals of awareness and emerging trends
Motivate and inspire our global commercial teams to promote and sell our products
Manage product lifecycle from requirements through development, commercialization, product iterations and obsolescence
Identify and define opportunities for partnerships to grow the business

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in science related field with at least Ten (10) years of relevant experience with genomics platforms in relevant fields including product management, marketing, sales, business development, corporate strategy, product development, and/or field support.
Desirable: MBA or advanced science degree and experience working in an ISO13485-compliant environment (or similar).
At least 3 years hands-on experience with PCR- and next-generation sequencing (NGS) based instruments, software and applications
At least 2 years of hands on experience with a genomic instrument platform
At least 5 years of experience in Product Management managing instrument platforms in the genomics tools space with a track record of success in meeting revenue expectations.
Successfully lead cross-functional teams to commercialize new genomics products through the entire development cycle in an ISO13485-compliant environment (or similar).
Ability to influence across the organization at all levels
Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and communication skills
Previous experience with protein expression platforms or applications is highly desirable
