Your Role:

As the Director of Propulsion System Purchasing, you will be providing leadership, guidance and strategy in areas related to all facets of Propulsion System Purchasing as it pertains to vehicle quality including service part quality, part quality found in the field and part warranty quality. You will lead and work with some of the industry’s brightest minds to plan, develop and implement Supplier Quality standards and best practices for supplier selection, supplier part quality management and ongoing supplier development. Basically, you’ll ensure that Suppliers to Faraday Future provide quality parts on time and continuously improve their quality, delivery, and efficiency of operations.


  • Lead the development, implementation, and communication of the Supplier Quality/Purchasing organization strategy within Faraday Future, including the appropriate deployment/hiring of talent, developing standards and specifications, implementing processes and training for current and future Supplier Quality Engineering personnel

  • Lead continuous improvement of supplier quality standards/metrics by leading the supplier quality team and working with tier 1/2 suppliers to ensure product quality amongst supply sources, manufacturing processes, production readiness, and final quality assurance and control

  • Drive the strategy and development of supplier quality processes and road mapping of current and future programs utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning

  • Develop Supplier Quality Benchmarks and Standards; provide technical perspective and expertise in terms of quality standards for internal technical teams, critical suppliers, and partners

  • Develop strategy to improve low performing Supplier Metrics including part quality and delivery

  • Develop the supplier quality risk matrix complete with risk mitigation plan

  • Develop standard work for APQP, SCAR’s, Supplier Assessments and Score Cards

  • Collaborate with plant leadership to maintain standardization in all supplier quality processes globally

  • Work closely with company Stakeholders, Executives, and Organization Leaders to ensure supplier part acceptance and timelines are met

  • Provide the necessary training, communications, and program management to ensure Faraday Future has the best team in the industry

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in Automotive Propulsion System Purchasing Management/Development

  •  5+ years of experience in the EV industry

  • 10+ years of experience in medium to high volume production manufacturing of automobiles

  • Strong familiarity with APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, GD&T, FMEA

  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 and other US and Global Automotive Standards with extensive knowledge of quality manufacturing best practices

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships across technical and business teams globally

  • Proven experience with product delivery of multiple programs

  • Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for Start-up EV OEM’s

  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally when needed

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in an Engineering Discipline is desirable

  • Black Belt in Six Sigma

  • Proven experience implementing a Supplier Portal

  • Experience in the Global Manufacturing automotive market
