We are seeking a Director - Sales - Aspirus Health Plan in Wausau, Wisconsin. Reporting to the President of Aspirus Health Plan, the Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for achieving market growth and sales goals through the successful development and implementation of AHP’s marketing and sales strategies. The position will create and engage in opportunities that increase visibility of AHP with employers and consultants/brokers.; will establish strong, positive working relationships with key market employers and consultants/brokers; and will gather market intelligence as it relates to employers, payors, and competitive strategies to effectively position all Aspirus Health Plan products, programs, and services to increase growth and revenue opportunities.This position will also lead the development and execution of AHP’s marketing plans to promote all products, programs and services. 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Achieve sales goals by effectively managing and maintaining new and existing relationships with key market employers and consultants/brokers to deliver high satisfaction levels

  • Develop formal, written or oral, sales proposals and secures written agreements between parties that formalize terms, as needed

  • Develop process to manage and maintain new and existing employer contacts, employer information, market intelligence

  • Develop and implement the tactical sales and marketing plans that deliver desired results of growth and revenue strategies

  • Work collaboratively with AHP operational leaders and staff to deliver and implement employer agreement terms

  • Work directly with local employers, including initiating outreach as well as consultants/ brokers, to promote all AHP products, programs and services in a consultative manner that meet employer or broker/consultant needs

  • Articulate the respective value propositions to generate growth and revenue opportunities

  • Collaborate with the AHP leaders and staff to share ideas and strategies, support collaboration in problem solving, and support continuous improvement

  • Maintain appropriate knowledge of both local and national healthcare developments and trends as well as the competitive landscape in the local market

  • Work directly with AHP leaders, marketing team and local staff in the development of marketing strategies including activities such as product design, programs, product/program/service positioning, advertising plans and materials development

  • Completes required sales activity reports in a timely and accurate manner

  • Maintain a broad working-knowledge and cross-selling of products, programs and services

  • Seeks continuous education and training on products, programs and services

  • Delivers effective presentations to both internal and external customers

  • Oversee Account Management retention staff and functions


Education



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Business Management, Marketing, or related field


Experience



  • Two to five years’ experience in related healthcare, insurance or account management position

  • Five years of experience in direct sales to businesses or a related field necessary to develop and enhance relationship-based skills is preferred

Health Insurance license preferred and required within set amount of time by leader.

Hours: Full time Benefit package available, 80 Hours per pay period, Day Shift.
