The Director, Sales Technology will lead a team of business analysts and technical professionals who oversee the day-to-day activities of Meredith’s sales technology platforms, primarily the Salesforce.com environment. This involves collaborating with consulting partners, assessing needs of the user base and working with application owners of ancillary business systems to establish integration strategies. This role will work with Advertising Sales and Advertising Operations personnel to identify new opportunities to enhance functionality or achieve greater process efficiencies.


It is imperative that this person possess strong communication skills, recognizing their audience and adjusting the message accordingly. The Director will serve as the communication hub for requests coming from Meredith’s Advertising business which will require a level of comfort and ability to communicate effectively with front-line personnel and corporate executives to capture business requirements. It is equally important that these business requirements be relayed to the technical teams for implementation and delivery.

Education:


BS/BA in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent  


Experience:


5+ years of experience supporting advertising technology platforms or equivalent


Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


General understanding of sales, operations, production, and billing processes for advertising lines of business

Master Data Management

Familiarity with Salesforce.com application functionality

Knowledge of financial transactional systems, Oracle E-Business Suite a plus

Organizational change management

Must be able to express complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing

Must be highly motivated, self-directed and able to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously

Substantial involvement in complex business requirements and extensive experience in direct internal customer contact

Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
