Research Director, Sourcing, Procurement and Supplier Management,
Provide specialized logistics and sourcing analysis and integrated logistics planning.Conduct in-depth research and operational analysis of procurement and sourcing trends that meets business need and promotes the execution of supply chain. Drive research on sourcing and supplier management strategy and best practices in direct material supply chains for all subsectors of manufacturing including but not limited to CPG, apparel and footwear, high tech, industrial, chemical and process, automotive and A&D. Secondary industries to support include retail, distributors and healthcare providers. Responsible for ongoing publication of research notes that are topical, based on primary research and case studies or follow on from research reports to general client readership and interaction. Demonstrate expertise through development and delivery of presentations and client interactions covering specific trends and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field, and eight (8) years of post-bachelor, progressive, work experience in Supply Chain.
- Must have eight (8) years of experience with/in:
Sourcing and Procurement Functional Maturity, Supplier Risk Management, Supply Base Management, Supplier Quality and Cost Management, Organizations Design for Procurement and Metrics;
Expertise in implementing and designing procurement and sourcing processes, implementing best practices, thought leadership surrounding sourcing functions;
Demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, and ability to link best practices in sourcing back to functional and business strategies, goals, and metrics; and
Interacting with senior leaders in Sourcing and Procurement
- Up to 5% travel required
