Thrasio is looking for a Director to be part of the Strategic Planning and Analysis team. The individual will serve as an integral leader, team member and strategic thought partner to Thrasio’s Marketing organization, with the successful candidate serving as the analytical thought leader for the team(s) he / she supports. The individual will report directly to the VP of SP&A and be responsible for building out and managing a team of analysts. 


The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial setting and embody the drive and skill set necessary to hit the ground running as a strategic business partner, providing financial and operational analytic support to the Marketing organization. The Director will be expected to lead cross-functional projects and analysis of financial and operational data and will also be expected to regularly summarize and communicate results to senior management. This position has the potential to significantly add to the company’s top and bottom line through business case generation and other high priority analysis.


Responsibilities:


Develop and lead core processes including forecasting, budgeting, long term planning and marketing business reviews. Collaborate with business partners to develop financial targets, identify risks and opportunities, review actual performance to plan and drive operational changes 

Lead strategic, cross-functional relationships between Marketing, SP&A, the broader Finance organization, Brand Operations and Technology

Identify and execute upon process improvement opportunities that can lead to broad organizational impact

Ensure processes for data and report generation are in place to adhere to rigorous reporting standards and drive financial discipline

Provide overall leadership and direction to the organization by analyzing financial performance, strategic opportunities, generating business plans and implementing best practices across broad segments of the business

Build out and manage a team of analysts to provide best in class financial and analytical support to the marketing organization and foster a culture of learning and career development


What You Bring to the Party:


Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA from a top tier institution. Preferred degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related field

5+ years of relevant SP&A / FP&A experience. Strong financial acumen and technical skills

Outstanding communication, relationship building and leadership skills

Continually seeking new perspectives and feedback, taking an inclusive approach and engaging diverse points of view

Entrepreneurial and comfortable with ambiguous and change-led environments; self-confident with an authentic style that gravitates toward championing change

Advanced Excel experience required
