Plans, directs and carries out all phases related to Facilities Management.
Manages the stationary engineers and maintenance staff.
Ensures that staff performs all job duties in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
Interacts with Department heads on a variety of Plant Operations issues and concerns in a cordial and timely fashion.
Implements and adheres to existing and new standards to maintain regulatory compliance.
Writes policy and procedures as needed.
Assures that departmental policies and procedures are kept current and, reflect applicable state, federal and Joint Commission standards.
Provides liaison with federal, state, local and other regulatory agencies to insure that the hospital is in full compliance with applicable
Environment of Care regulations and guidelines.
Plans and administers the annual operating budget to meet the needs of the department.
Submits capital requests to improve the overall facility.
Manage and perform in-house construction activities on a regular basis to improve the facility.
Involves customer during the pre-construction planning and design stages in order to understand their work pattern and needs so their
wishes, if at all possible, are incorporated during renovation as part of the project.
Provides liaison to architects, designers and engineers in the development of construction projects.
Administer preventive maintenance programs and work order system to provide maintenance and repair services to the facility.
Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree or/ in liew of Masters Degree years of experience and certifications
5-7 years of direct experience in the Facilities Management.
Proven track record of successful management of employees and experience with recognized collective bargaining employees, preferred.
HVAC/R, electrical and/or plumbing background or certification, preferred.
NJ Blue Seal Stationary Engineer s License or greater, preferred.
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification from the American Hospital Association, preferred.
Proven strength in strategic planning and anticipation to future issues and, recommends solutions.
