We are expanding our Business Development team and are seeking a Director/Group Director, Business Development to focus on AOR brands.Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, this position is an integral member of the team, helping to cultivate leads and strengthen business development processes for AOR brands across the agency.This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, 300M+ global agency with over 1,400 employees! Responsibilities

Manage business development processes and collaborate with senior agency leadership to implement AOR business development strategies.

Identify and screen business prospects by using multiple sources and innovative ideas to cultivate new leads.

Monitor potential prospects by analyzing market/industry trends and news and by assessing potential business and financial risks.

Establish and continually update priority targets for short and long-term AOR prospecting.

Manage and submit RFPs, collaborating with agency staff across functions and expertise to develop proposals that meet clients’ needs.

Assemble pitch teams and develop pitch budgets. 

Help Business Development team and the agency to continue building a strong track record of successful pitches and wins of AOR business.

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Ability to think strategically while maintaining focus on results and execution in a fast-paced, fluid environment.

Ability to work pro-actively and effectively in a matrixed organizational structure across locations.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences, from clients and industry experts to internal staff of all levels.

Availability to travel to client sites and industry events as necessary.

Experience

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Business Development function.

Experience working in a healthcare marketing/PR/communications agency, focusing on AOR business.

HCP, patient, and consumer healthcare business development experience necessary; tech business development a plus.

Proven track record of successful client relationship management and development of new business leads.

Experience in a large agency with multiple locations.
