98 people have viewed this jobThe Energy and Sustainability Services Manager role is focused on three key areas:
Driving a program that provides energy, water & waste savings / reductions across a client’s portfolio, including via low cost / no cost initiatives and initiatives which require capital investment.
Collaborating with JLL FMs and Engineers to evaluate energy and water trends and opportunities for efficiency gains in buildings within JLL portfolio. Collaboration includes developing energy optimization initiatives for specific property types (Financial Centers, Call Center, Office space, etc.) and rolling out across the JLL Portfolio.
Aligning JLL's FM service delivery team with client’s sustainability targets. In addition to energy consumption, water & waste this includes reducing carbon footprint, addressing climate change, addressing air quality problems and developing smart building solutions. This is a high profile, client facing role which focuses on delivering lasting value to the client via cost reductions and improvements in their sustainability practices. As such, we are seeking a candidate with strong technical/engineering/energy program management skills, exception client management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a pro-active attitude.
Responsibilities:
Support energy and sustainability strategy for clients’ real estate portfolio.
Maintain completeness and accuracy of utility data, property data, etc. in databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.
Support energy & sustainability policies and incentive programs.
Support portfolio-wide training and communication of sustainability activities.
Support client energy, sustainability, and environmental teams to ensure client goals are met.
Calculate projected energy, water and waste/recycling savings for conservation opportunities and projects identified by the facility manager, engineer, or vendor.
Communicate with the Facility Management, Project Management, and Business Intelligence teams as needed.
Develop a proficient understanding of the client’s retail building automation systems (BMS).
Identify and seek to partner with vendors offering innovative technology, financing solutions, and more, to position this client at the forefront of energy and sustainability practices.
Collaborate with other JLL energy and sustainability managers to share and learn best practices and publish case studies of successful initiatives.
Stay up to date with energy technology advances through partnerships with key vendors and market associations and evaluate technology development for application within the JLL Portfolio.
Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial, Civil)
Minimum of 5 years operational and/or facility management services
Experience\Understanding of Energy and Sustainability issues
Ability to work independently and on a team
Computer proficiency using spreadsheets and processing applications
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong people skills

Must be process focused and able to manage through systems
Must have keen ability to manage through influence
Must be able to prioritize and plan efficiently
Preferable knowledge of energy management or Building Management Systems (BMS)
Travel and location requirements:
15-20% domestic travel required
Possible locations are Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, or Phoenix, AZ
This will be a virtual position managing a large financial vendor account (no direct reports)
