Key Role:

Conduct utility systems condition assessments for U.S. military installations. Identify energy resilience gaps and develop courses of action (COAs) to address any gaps or vulnerabilities. Review installation performance metrics, establish energy needs baseline for mission-critical operations, and identify energy conservation measures.

Basic Qualifications:

6+ years of experience with engineering or the energy sector

Experience with electrical distribution infrastructure, back-up, standby, paralleling diesel or natural gas generation systems, or renewables that include solar PV or wind

Experience with energy conservation measures and performing energy use intensity (EUI) calculations

Knowledge of energy storage technologies such as battery, pumped hydro or flywheel

Knowledge of combined heat & power (CHP) systems and microgrid design and operation

Ability to interpret electrical one-line diagrams and generate conceptual block diagrams showing power and energy flow and major systems, including storage, generation, switching, or transformation systems for illustration

Ability to obtain a security clearance

BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

MS degree in Engineering or Energy preferred

Professional Engineer license

Certified Energy Manager certification
