This position is responsible for management and administration of the Public Authority, including hiring, training, performance planning and supervising Public Authority staff; acting as a liaison to Board of Supervisors, County Executive Office and County Departments; providing staff support to the IHSS Advisory Committee; representing the Public Authority at the local and state level regarding Public Authority issues; being responsible for compliance with all relevant County, State and Federal laws, policies, regulations and agreements; participating in labor negotiation activities; preparing budget and determining funding needs and options; and performing other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Social Services, Health Services, or a closely related field and extensive experience within a substantially large and/or complex social services or governmental organization.
