The Associate Director works as part of the Financial Reporting & Accounting team in the financial close and reporting of corporate financial information, along with quarterly and annual financial statement reporting.

Department: Financial Reporting & Accounting
The Financial Reporting & Accounting department advises on the accounting treatment for complex transactions, performs all accounting, and prepares all external financial statements and regulatory reports.
What You'll Do
Manage team of four accountants in daily operations as well as professional development and career progression planning
Responsible for functional accounting areas of Compensation and benefits, Information Technology, Fixed Assets, and Revenue reporting
Responsible for balance sheet analysis and reconciliation review
Assist external auditors with year end audit
Presentation and communication of financial results to cross functional teams
Assess and implement process improvement opportunities
Supervise and maintain a rigorous control environment to mitigate risk
Create and/or maintain policies and procedures to address identified control gaps
Lead and actively participate in DTCC wide projects such as reporting system upgrades and process improvements
Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Sound Like You?
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
10+ years of progressive financial reporting and accounting experience, in industry or with a major public accounting firm preferred
Demonstrated ability to deliver results, both working in the details and analyzing at a high level
Ability to work with and influence global teams
Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (U.S. GAAP)
Familiarity with Oracle accounting software a plus
