Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for the providing financial leadership and support to the Blood Services Client Sales decision making, pricing and revenue/strategy objectives. This position will be accountable for leading the analysis of pricing and proposals for all Vitalant Client Sales accounts and compiling the annual budget and forecast, including but not limited to product pricing, customer usage volumes and department spend. In addition, this individual will work closely with the Sales leadership and sales operations team to provide training and cross functional leadership in support of the client sales strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
Assures quality customer service to all customers.
Partners with business unit leadership and Sales Operations team to drive results and provide direction, as appropriate to achieve financial and revenue objectives and strategy.
Leads the development of an annual operating plan for Client Sales and all revenue based assumptions, including but not limited to supporting budget and financial plans that are aligned with the strategic plan and growth objectives of the organization.
Develops and provides ongoing management of ROI analysis tool for use during customer contract renewal or proposed new business opportunities. Presents key stakeholders with ROI outcomes to inform and influence key sales and pricing decisions.
Proactively monitors customer contracts to ensure timely renewals and compliance with the financial terms and conditions (i.e. price escalators, returns, credits, etc.). Provides timely direction to sales leadership and others, as appropriate, of exceptions when applicable.
Responsible for the financial analysis, monitoring and reporting to support the pricing strategy for Vitalant.
Prepares financial analysis to include return on investment, profitability analysis and special project analysis in support of Vitalant leadership decision making.
Manages the Sales Incentive Plans, by providing financial analysis, ongoing monitoring and reporting.
Provides effective leadership to achieve financial results, in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives.
Provide leadership with recommendations and guidance associated with the financial and statistical reports and information applicable to their departments.
Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Finance preferred.
MBA degree preferred.
Knowledge of financial systems required.
Seven years of progressively responsible finance related experience is required.
Leadership and/or project management experience is required.
Experience working with senior and executive leadership across all departments on key strategic initiatives required.
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
Proven influencing and negotiating skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must have advanced Excel skills required.
Advanced skills in SQL preferred.
Prior experience supporting a sales team and working with a CRM tool preferred.
