Deploy and maintain a successful government relations strategy and plan for key Southeast Asian countries which reflects the organizational goals and priorities of Johnson Controls Asia Pacific region and our strategic government relations and regulatory affairs plan. Build and maintain positive company relations with South East Asian government decision-makers in key countries, policy leaders and industry stakeholders.Support JCI business units in carrying out strategies to achieve their financial plans. Work closely with APAC Communications and Marketing teams to advocate for Johnson Controls positions and articulate our thought leadership in SEA. Support JCI efforts to drive innovation industry with SEA government officials.
How you will do it
Build relations with key SEA markets government decision makers including Vietnam, Philippine, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore to provide access and opportunities for the business in these markets
Build a positive leadership image and business climate for Johnson Controls among SEA government officials and industry associations.
Engage with JCI Regulatory Affairs team and our leaders in the Southeast Asia on strategies and matters involving and needing government relations.
Coordinate with JCI SEA business units on strategic planning and prioritization.
Work proactively with JCI SEA business development and sales staff to develop business opportunities.
Work with JCI business units to resolve government related issues and problems when they occur.
Manage and maintain positive relationships with our industry associations in the SEA region and play a leadership role in key associations to leverage their influence on behalf of JCI.
In partnership with APAC Communications and Marketing teams, manage and leverage company events, meetings and visits for Johnson Controls’ industry thought leadership with SEA government officials.
Communicate Government Relations mission and work with JCI SEA leadership and across the business units, as appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Political Science or International Affairs.
Eight to ten years Government Relations experience in Asia Pac
Excellent communication skills with management at all levels and customer management skills are required.
