Conduct statistical and economic analyses of current and prospective Federal activities that affect science and public health. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Develop, designs, and conducts policy-relevant research projects. Utilize micro-simulation models and engages in computer programming and modeling to develop and conduct research and evaluation projects related to science and public health policy. Participate in client meetings, providing input and developing briefings. Monitor and maintain cognizance of significant government, academic, and research activities in science and public health policy. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.
10+ years of experience in applied health economics.
Experience with quantitative skills and economic forecasting and simulation modeling software
Knowledge of current and future healthcare payer strategies and priorities
Knowledge of bundled payment strategies
Ability to work with and supervise teams of data analyst
Ability to obtain a security clearance
MA or MS degree and 15+ years of experience in health economics or PhD degree
Experience working with AHRQ, SAMHSA, or ASPE
Experience with AnyLogic
