The Manager / Senior Manager is responsible for designing and operationalizing user-friendly plans and programs that support a “best place to work environment” and maximizes employee engagement within Global Services India and the overall APAC Region. The Manager / Senior Manager partners with functional HR and Global COE’s to facilitate, support and execute organizational change in APAC. This position must demonstrate an understanding of Indian employment laws and regulations, employee data management and integrity, day to day HR operational matters with regard to the employee life cycle, through utilizing analytics, project management and communication skills to translate business strategy into various HR talent solutions to increase overall organizational capabilities, organizational culture, talent and operational efficiencies. As Global Services India continues to grow we seek a seasoned HR professional with the ability to scale as our organization transforms over the coming years.
The role reports jointly to the Director for Global Business Services for the APAC region and the Global Senior Director of HR.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Responsibilities of the Manager HR / Senior Manager HR include:
Manage the HR Ops team on the ground and ensure that staff are fully motivated in their roles
Have oversight for the larger HR family as a Hub Manager which is currently a team of 20 staff including Managers
Develop and maintain effective business partnerships and serve as a consultant for all HR areas.
Evaluates work requests from across the organization and prioritizes efforts to ensure alignment with HR operating model.
Ensures execution of key HR programs on the ground in co-ordination with the COEs and functional HR Business Partners
Co-ordinates with the firm’s India HR counter parts to ensure alignment of HR policies and procedures
Serves as the first point of contact for staff and managers with regard to HR policies and procedures ensuring appropriate communication and consistent application
Considered a key business adviser:leveraging business knowledge, organizational relationships and proactive interventions.
Must demonstrate the ability to understand business goals and market trends andleverage this insight to recommend and influence new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
Acts as a catalyst for change; guides and directs organizational design, development and change management solutions.
Coaches senior leaders on complex leadership and HR issues including development and talent performance and issues which could have the potential to create a competitive advantage for the business.
Develops and uses analytics and trend analysis to help shape and influence HR strategies to support business objectives.
Drive employee engagement and retention plans for the businesses, including the assessment, analysis and facilitation of plans to address turnover and workforce issues.
Partner with other HR functions (recruiting, compensation, benefits) and internal resources to execute GSHR initiatives and client specific programs.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
The ideal Manager will have the following knowledge and experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development or other related field is required; advanced degree and PHR/SPHR preferred
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in a global and matrixed environment, providing guidance and influence to Senior level/Executive leadership team members
Strong knowledge of performance management, talent development, employee relations and compensation management
Excellent analytical and problem solving approaches and the ability to influence company leaders (strong excel and powerpoint skills)
