183 people have viewed this jobThe IT Senior Product Manager is responsible for strategy, roadmap and feature definition, launch of BCG’s Laptop environment through its lifecycle. The IT Senior Product Manager leads product efforts based on market conditions / customer demands and works cross functionally with business and technology teams to deliver product objectives.
He/she will partner closely with the Product Engineering and Operations Teams, providing structure and matrix leadership to manage team priorities and streamlining work efforts.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Governance and Operations
Own the administration of the Laptop platforms, providing structure and leadership to manage team priorities, streamline work efforts, manage business expectations and communicate status to leadership
Monitor dependent technology utilization and capacity planning.Work closely with business owners to define and document governance requirements, issue escalation procedures, new user access, and outage communication templates.
Work closely with Senior IT Operations Manager to ensure robust 24x7 operations support processes and ensure data accuracy, triage, SLA management, and business communications
Service Management
Influence and drive product adoption for a growing user base
Educate and inform business partners on BCG's Laptopcapabilities, best practices and future enhancements
Own and update the overall Laptop technology roadmap through strong business partnership and deep understanding of business challenges and business opportunities
Drive analysis of business requirements, source systems, underlying data sources, business processes, security requirements, user personas, and metadata for various use cases
Work closely with engineering team to ensure alignment on commitments, estimates, architecture, resources, implementation coordination and support
Facilitate project initiation phases by defining project charter, outlining project scope and working with vendor partners to estimate effort and timelines
Actively manage vendors to provide expertise when needed and/or capacity to help meet demands when necessary
Work closely with other technical teams to ensure alignment on defects, backlog, commitments, estimates, architecture, resources, implementation coordination and support.
Continually balance the business process with technology to ensure the most effective level of business impact is being achieved.
Manage interdepartmental dependencies, including IT, HR, finance, marketing and practice areas.
Be accountable for quality assurance activities of team.
Be accountable for implementing effective change, to drive understanding and adoption of system enhancements.
Be accountable for creating, maintaining, and reviewing the appropriate quality metrics for all assigned services (via Quarterly Services Reviews, etc.).
YOU'RE GOOD AT (CONT'D)
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
B.A./ or comparable knowledge in an IT-related field
At least 8-10 relevant industry experience with a strong technical background in agile product development
Agile certification (CSPO, PSPO) is a plus
Project management certification is a plus
ITIL certification is a plus
Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal communication skills
Strong work management, organization, and planning skills, based on an understanding of relevant processes and business needs
Strong relationship building skills
Proven success in effectively leading virtual teams in matrix organization
Strong communication and presentation skills
Project and Portfolio Management Methodologies & Practices
Experience in Endpoint Technology stack (Windows, SCCM, MacOS, Apple iOS, Google Android)
