The IT Business Operations team, working closely with the CIO and IT COO, is seeking to add a strong candidate responsible for developing the overall strategy for the IT organization and drive forward it’s strategic agenda. The IT Senior Program Manager, responsible for the Strategy and Governance Office, will align senior executive stakeholders towards a common strategy while ensuring that IT’s roadmaps and change agenda will deliver against the strategic priorities across the portfolios. This role will help manage some key governance groups,made up of some of BCG’s executive leadership, and work with Portfolio leads across IT to drive action. This role will act as a liaison with external organizations to gather benchmarks and evaluate IT’s organization against best in class IT organizations.


Establish and drive 3-5 year strategic agenda for BCG’s IT organization

Working with Senior Leadership, help define IT’s strategic agenda and priorities for the next 3-5 years

Partner with key leadership to complete outside-in assessments to identify current level of maturity, key gaps in capabilities, and help establish the roadmap to close gaps with the appropriate owners

Drive the definition of annual Plateaus, aligned to Senior Leadership objectives and overall maturity assessments Identify potential issues to achieve the strategic plan/3 year roadmap and actively mitigate risks

Manage IT’s executive Governance teams

Manage various IT governance teams, driving discussions and decision-making according to firm-wide priorities

Develop key agendas and engagement milestones with BCG’s CFO, Chief Risk Officer, and Senior Partners in Technology Practice to ensure alignment and solicit guidance on IT’s approach and strategy

Create and manage dashboards that provide transparency to IT’s key change agenda, highlighting how areas of success, risks or blockers to the plan, and showing how the plan has evolved over time

 Drive IT’s strategic roadmap and key initiatives forward

Working with Senior Portfolio Owners, help shape Roadmaps to ensure appropriate pace of change and achievement of 3-5 year goals

Collaborate with IT Leadership team on their 3 year change plan to help ensure it aligns to overall IT strategic goals

Manage multi-year IT Modernization roadmap, partnering with senior Program Managers in various IT sub functions


Degree in Business, with at least 3-5 years of experience in business, IT, consulting, or relevant field required

​Travelrequirements : infrequent travelling expected (less than 10%, as needed) but ability and willingness to travel when necessary

Autonomous, self-starter

Strong strategic focus, ready to take on new challenges and test the status quo where necessary

Excellent conceptual skills

Comfortable in global, multi-cultural, and virtual work environment

Ability to package complex material for consumption by a variety of end users; Solid presentation skills

Strong interpersonal & organizational abilities with excellent leadership skills

Deep knowledge of IT Strategy and Governance models a plus
