The Knowledge Business Director is responsible for setting the direction and leading the knowledge business within the Public Sector Practice, in collaboration with the PS leadership team and with BCG Global CKA organization (Center for Knowledge and Analytics).


The Knowledge Business Director is in charge of understanding the needs of the consulting teams and Public Sector clients for PS Knowledge and their evolution, and define and develop the right team, expertise, products and services to respond to these needs in a sustainable way, ensuring a positive P&L of the practice knowledge activities (i.e a 35% minimum billability of the team)

Evolving the Public Sector Practice’s portfolio of Knowledge Services and Products

Understanding client needs, cases teams and client demand for knowledge products and services, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Taking responsibility for PS knowledge service delivery and quality and maintenance of all basics knowledge products and services (e.g credentials, vignettes, support to proposals excellence, learning modules,…)

Together with leadership team, further evolving portfolio of the PS KT’s services and products

Driving the development and management of our knowledge Products and Services

Ensuring close collaboration with FPAs, PDT/PBU unit, GAMMA etc.

Collaborating with CKA/Knowledge Function on the “Future of PA KT” initiative (and other future initiatives) to help further advance BCG’s knowledge offering

Building and developing the external and internal knowledge brand for the practice

Assuming responsibility for PSPA knowledge P&L

Building and managing the Knowledge Team

Taking responsibility for long-term resource deployment and people investments (defining the recruiting and staffing plan)

Directly managing senior KT roles, overseeing their professional development; providing apprenticeship (evaluations, goal setting, training, and coaching, on the job training)

Organizing the Knowledge Team, put in place and support team leaders

Setting the direction of and leading people activities for all KT staff affiliated with the practice

Ensuring cross-PA consistency of the knowledge infrastructure and processes (with other KBDs and the Knowledge PA)

Defining and establish relevant external partnerships

Setting KPIs and measure the performance of the PA KT offerings and people

Directly contributing to knowledge offering and services

Contributing directly to cases when the expertise needed aligns with yours or complexity requires your involvement

Coordinating the team around difficult cases and requests

Supporting directly the development of our knowledge offering


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)


's required; ’s in business or related field strongly preferred

Sound knowledge of some Government's sectors and topics and major trends affecting them ; in particular understanding of Government's transformation challenges and how to support transformations in Public Sector context

Proven ability to lead and develop large and remotely operating international teams

Forward-looking, pioneering, and entrepreneurial thinking

Excellent, proven change management skills

Ability to operate successfully in international, cross-functional and ambiguous settings

Ability to influence up, down and across

Excellent command of the English language
