115 people have viewed this jobThe Office of the COO is responsible for providing operational support to Deloitte’s COO and CFO, as well as providing leadership for strategic initiatives that help Deloitte’s finance organization achieve its key strategic and operational priorities.We are looking for an energetic professional with outstanding communication, analytical and project management skills to join our team to help drive high-impact, high-visibility programs and initiatives on behalf of the firm COO and CFO.
Work You’ll Do
As an Office of the COO Senior Consultant, you’ll work with the OCOO team to lead and support both ongoing and one-time programs and initiatives that support Finance and Administration leadership, such as:
Drive the quarterly MD&A-type document authored jointly by the firm CEO and COO and shared with all firm partners, principals and managing directors.The document covers the firm’s financial performance, operations, investments, market data, and industry trends.In this role, you will need to:
Interact with senior leaders across the firm to form and execute analyses, and prepare clear, concise, high quality deliverables / content
Integrate information from a wide range of primary and secondary sources, including internal business data, client surveys, financial results, third-party research, government publications, industry commentaries, and news articles
Present data in a visually appealing manner that will tell a story and support leadership’s vision
Build effective working relationships with subject matter experts within the firm, which includes both interviewing and information-gathering, as well as presenting draft work for feedback
Work collaboratively with practice leadership and internal stakeholders to prepare deliverables and ensure timely completion of content
Supporting other activities within the Office of the COO, including:
Preparing dashboards/status reports and other program updates related to our portfolio of operational initiatives sponsored by the firm’s Operating Committee
Conducting research into clients and market trends as needed to support the preparation of leadership briefings
Coordinating leadership meetings, including preparation of agendas and supporting materials
Executing other ad hoc analysis as required to support FA leadership
The Team: The Office of the COO team supports the COO, CFO and broader Finance and Administration leadership team in the execution of the FA strategy, which in turn supports and enables the strategy of the broader firm.We are a close-knit team comprised mainly of former client service practitioners from Deloitte’s consulting practice, and we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the ability to build long-term, mutually beneficial, trusted relationships.
Qualifications
Required:
An MBA with a minimum of 2 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management) with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Experience in consulting, project/program management, finance, investor relations, strategic planning or similar field
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to structure and synthesize qualitative / quantitative findings into executive level presentations with details, logic, and content tailored to the audience
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written – role requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to various levels of leadership in-person, over the phone, via video conference (VC), and over email
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work streams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining outstanding attention to detail and quality of deliverables
A proactive work ethic (“self-starter”) that also embraces a collaborative (“team-player”) approach to project work
Excellent proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook; proficiency in other applications such as MS Project and Excel
Willingness to travel on a limited basis as needed on projects
Preferred:
Tableau proficiency
Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder organizations
