This 2-year rotationalposition will support the Director of ES Contracts Operations in all areas related to Command Media, Learning & Development, Compliance/Self-Assurance and Resources, Systems & Tools for the ES Contracts function. Candidates for this position will possess and be able to leverage their broad array of experience in Contracts and BAE Systems as a company. Contracts Ops is a support function to the Profit & Loss ES Business Areas, and, simply put, its goal is to assist the Contracts professionals in the business areas to do their jobs. This role is both an inwardly and outwardly-focused position. Contracts Ops is responsible for all policies issued by the ES Sector Contracts functions. This includes the regular review for currency and update, the writing of new policy or updates, the training and education on policy content, and keeping abreast of pending and implemented regulatory changes in the government acquisition and procurement world. This includes an active input to INC-level Contracts policies as well. Further, as a member of the ES Sector Document Review Board (SDRB), the Director, Contracts Operations, supports all other ES and INC functions in the review of their proposed policies or policy changes.
Additionally, the Contracts Ops team works closely with other functions to prepare the business for any necessary regulatory compliance actions and prepares the ES Contracts function by providing insight, education, and training on emerging regulatory actions, creating a compliance scheme, and implementing across the business. Contracts Operations authors and issues various communications documents for the function, and maintains the ES Contracts web site.
This individual may support customer interface with the local DCMA and DCAA customers, and ensures the business addresses all issues raised by the local government. Contracts Operations reviews administrative Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and supports the Quality organization in the drafting of responses. The Director, Contracts Ops interfaces regularly with ES Finance and Government Accounting/Compliance, and provides important contract information to Government Accounting /Compliance to support audits, Incurred Cost Submissions, and Final Rate Agreement positions. Contracts Operations manages the entire Contract Closeout process, and this position is directly responsible for the program management of the BCO subcontract for close-out support.
The individual needs to be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to work under time constraints and pressure, and handle constantly shifting priorities. Contracts Operations handles the formal response of a myriad of individual data calls from within ES, from the Government customers, and from INC. The work load and work day is greatly varied, never boring.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Active Secret clearance
Commercial, International and US Government contracting experience with understanding of both Commercial and Military Aircraft markets
Significant Proposal Preparation experience
Proven competency in team leadership and the development of high performing, diverse teams
Business acumen and ability to develop and provide guidance of a strategic nature regarding customers, top line growth and overall performance of the Business Area
