This role supports the Veteran’s Affair and TRICARE Programs, working closely with business operations and Data Analytics team with applications hosted on AWS/Gov Cloud and On-premise infrastructure. Roles & Responsibilities:

Organize and lead IT application development teams for efficient delivery of development and operational support services. 

Establish development and operational support processes grounded in solid SDLC principles.

Plan and direct the daily activities of IT teams while managing the prioritization with business operations team.

Collaborating with other cross functional teams including business operations, business development, IT infrastructure, Security & Compliance and contract/vendor management teams.

Lead/support exploratory initiatives working with executive and business leaders.

Provide periodic reports for executives.

Develop business cases, POCs and evangelize strategic initiatives pertaining to market solutions, operational and development processes.

Triage with the business and technology teams to establish root cause for operational/system issues and lead them through resolution.

Liaison with managers in IT and other functions, applying standard solutions and processes.

Lead/participate technology engagements with clients and vendors.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience developing responses to healthcare related Government/Federal/DOD RFPs.

Hands on experience with RDBMS (Oracle & SQL Server), large scale Java based Web, Web Services and Batch applications operating in cloud or on-premise Linux or Windows based infrastructure.

Experience developing and operating systems that are compliant to standards such as NIST 800-171, PCI, and SOC2.

Experiencing with DevOps process related to Source Control, CI/CD.

Experience working in Agile/SAFE environment.

Plan and direct the daily activities of a team focused on a particular system or technology.

Liaison with managers in IT and other functions, applying standard solutions and processes.

Apply specific technical expertise in depth to address technical and business issues.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of related IT experience. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff.

This position will be supporting a Federal government contract, therefore it requires U. S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF86 or higher security.
