Manager Strategic Marketing-Remote US

Location - Position can be on-site in Latrobe, PA or work from home within Eastern US (Eastern or Central Time Zones)


Job Summary


The strategic marketing role will analyze the business landscape and macro-economic trends to identify the greatest opportunities for profitable growth and will partner with the business unit leaders and senior management team to develop and execute growth strategies.This position will be forward looking and must be able to interpret changing market demands and trends and drive product development and business strategies to capitalize on market changes, white space and market adjacencies.

 

Key Job Responsibilities


•Conduct market research to support new and existing product development

•Follows media and interprets business impacting news, including earnings releases for key customers and competitors.(In partnership with Sr. Market Analyst)

•Correlates macro-trends to business performance and anticipated business performance

•Investigates white space opportunities and adjacencies to identify new areas for Kennametal to play and win.

•Partners with Business leaders to lead Strategic plan development and execution

•Strategy Development

•Business Development

•Competitive Analysis

 

Requirements


•8+ years of sales experience in Business development; Product development; Market research

•2-4 years of global Sales experience preferred

•Prefer experience working in industrial or manufacturing industries

•Proven ability to gain market share

•Proven experience at the C and executive level

•Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or related field

•MBA preferred
