The FS C&I team works with the Head of the FS practice in the UK, and his or her Executive, to develop and deliver C&I plans that grow our accounts, responding to changes in the industry, identifying emerging issues in the market and managing campaigns that enhance our reputation, develop our market position and bring revenue to the Firm.
The FS practice has seen significant growth in recent years and has ambitious plans for the future. The objective of this role is to lead the effective delivery of our FS C&I approach for a variety of priority campaigns.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Marketing Manager to run our Financial Services, and oversee our Real Estate, marketing programmes.
A key element of the role is providing advice and support to the FS & RE Business Partner.
The FS & RE Marketing Lead is responsible for providing strategic marketing direction and advice to the partner group. Therefore, the individual appointed will have important responsibilities to support the industry leadership team, specifically sector leaders. The individual appointed will work with the rest of the FS & RE C&I team to shape the marketing strategy and plan, aligned to the firm-wide NSE strategy and the NSE FS industry strategy, (which is under development). She or he will also lead its execution to achieve the highest measurable client impact and ROI.
The role will involve working with the wider FS C&I team (Insight and Client Portfolio Management), the FS & RE press leads, and other C&I teams across the UK firm to ensure alignment and integration of Deloitte’s C&I offering in FS.
Marketing strategy and plan
Lead the Marketing strategy and plan for FS, ensuring that all planned marketing activity:
Is aligned with the firm’s 23 Ambition
Is aligned with the NSE and UK FS strategy
Is an integral part of the rest of the industry’s assets and activities plan
Is focused on impact with the industry’s priority and strategic clients
More broadly, is aligned to the principles of insightful, focused, targeted and bespoke
Maps to ‘stay awake’ market issues and, as appropriate, supports our major growth drivers

Complements our brand platform
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the industry, including competitor activity, key market issues, key clients/client contacts and influencers
Based on deep business insight, in conjunction with Insight and CPM, provide expert marketing advice, influence and challenge to inspire senior partners
Through partner engagement and raising awareness, be the first point of call for any proposed marketing activity, shaping and challenging this constructively as necessary, per the alignment principles set out above
Work closely with the Insight and CPM leads to ensure alignment, focus and information sharing.
Manage key stakeholder relationships within the industry, developing strong professional relationships with this group, managing their expectations through the year
Liaise with other C&I dimensions to identify linkages and share best practice, bringing to bear the ‘best of C&I’ into the industry. Actively seek and encourage opportunities for integration with other dimensions
Engage with the wider C&I community (Our internal Agency – the Campaign Management Team, Studio, Digital, PR, Brand, Events etc. as well as other Marketing Leads) to execute the plan
Lead and/or oversee the execution of key campaigns within that plan
Provide advice and guidance on good marketing and brand practice to partners and practitioners in the industry, in any activity they may be directly undertaking, to achieve optimal results for specific campaigns or initiatives, based on the strategy and KPIs
Work with relevant colleagues to:
Support relationship owners to develop key campaigns as necessary
Champion the client’s perspective and experience in all we do – be the ‘voice of the client’
Focus on sales enablement, from ensuring our people know how to take messages to our clients, through to establishing rigour and commitment around BD follow ups post marketing activity
Oversee all marketing channels, such as the intranet, Deloitte.com, social media
Lead, manage and motivate marketing professionals delivering campaigns and activity (whether in industry team, aligned, or working on campaigns), demonstrating strong leadership skills and an ability to effectively manage others and delegate tasks
Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
Marketing budget and ROI
Develop and take accountability for Industry Marketing budget and spend, ensuring the FS C&I budget meets targets. This includes:
Resource/time, including that from Agency and partners & practitioners (using campaign SWIFT codes)
Draw meaningful conclusions from reporting on campaigns and initiatives, providing clear analysis of cost (direct and indirect as above), measurable client impact and ROI as well as identifying areas of improvement to make recommendations on the ongoing development of the strategy
Support the FS & RE Business Partner
Working with the Insight and CPM and PR teams, ensure that the Business Partner is fully prepared for all meetings including the FS Executives, (both UK and NSE), C&I Strategy & Operations and Extended Leadership meetings. Update her on all activities on a weekly basis, and ad hoc as required, highlighting any possible issues as early as possible. Make it clear which issues are for noting, which require a decision and which require action, and what action is recommended.
Prepare agendas for FS & RE C&I team leader’ meetings (Marketing, Insights, PR, CPM Leads and NSE FS Leader’s Chief of Staff), and the wider monthly FS & RE team lunch.
Working with the other team leads, support the broader team, identifying best practices, training needs, collaboration opportunities, pastoral care and ensure the team is working at its best across all disciplines

Your professional experience
A proven leader, recognised as capable of managing multiple marketing programmes, teams, senior stakeholders and budgets
Strategic thinker - able to draw together multiple strategic imperatives to inform the development and delivery of the FS strategy and plan
Proven ability to build relationships – internally and with clients, establish a position of influence and credibility and provide high quality service to senior stakeholders
Ability to build relationships with the senior partner community in FS, and behave as a peer in challenging, refining and supporting conclusions and decisions
Good understanding of the breadth of Clients & Industries activity – experience in/working with multiple elements of the following: Marketing, digital, insights, internal communications and PR
Ability to oversee a number of projects happening simultaneously; works well under pressure
Proven team management and leadership experience; demonstrable experience of leading, developing and managing teams in different locations with a wide variety of skills and experience
Team player – shows evidence of working with others to get things done, in particular as part of leadership teams
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels
Excellent communicator, both in person and in writing, including presentation skills
Understanding of the breadth of Deloitte, our competitors and professional services generally
Creativity and the ability to work collaboratively to reach innovative solutions
