The Marketing Operations Manager oversees irregular operations and actively mitigates issues that arise. This role is a hybrid of skillsets, which include: hands-on coding, test instrumentation, marketer strategy thought-partner, and user advocate - leveraging expert internal resources when appropriate. A successful Manager maximizes message utilization while balancing the needs of users and internal stakeholders using a measured approach.


Responsibilities:


This opportunity has irregular business hours, depending on business needs:


Shift options include 4/40 (Friday to Monday) or 5/40 (Thursday to Monday)

Weekday shifts are in-office, at 1211 Avenue of the Americas

Weekend shifts will vary depending on business needs (e.g. early Saturday, late Saturday)


Primary Responsibility


Manage our lifecycle messaging and onsite landing page irregular operations, including active monitoring

Report production issues to PSO (Production Services Operations)

Mitigate issues and administer QA protocols before issuing a production fix

Drive issue retrospective and follow-through on a systemic fix

Manage emergency message and /or landing page deployment

Partner with Production Services Operations, Media Services Operations, and Marketing Operations Services team ensure team runbooks are up to date and utilized

Execute messaging reporting and run adhoc analysis when requested

Ensure all messages conform to GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, VPAA and other legal or compliance requirements


Basic Qualifications:


5+ years in marketing or operations role

Experience with platforms: CMS for landing pages, email/messaging

Working knowledge of HTML to make adjustments and articulate more complex needs to developers

Proficient in agile methodologies and working knowledge of Jira/Confluence

An understanding of various quality control techniques and their application

Attention to detail, with an ability to identify issues and implement remedies

An understanding and administration of testing best practices

Passion for velocity, enabling the team to scale through superior project management

Analytic orientation and curiosity, using insights to drive your next course of action

Excellent communication and copywriting skills

Experience supporting a globally distributed stakeholder team

Self-motivated, with a drive to exceed user expectations and enable marketers

Thrives in ownership


Preferred Qualifications:


SQL or other query language

Scripting (e.g. AMPscript, Liquid)

Statistical analysis

Proficient in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, and /or other lifecycle marketing platforms

Working knowledge of compliance requirements

Proficient with experimentation platforms, such as Optimizely


Required Education


BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
