Data and Technology are a critical enabler and this area is a vital organizational competence with DAN’s growing digital/data assets and operating scale, it is important that the network has a strong, experienced leader to guide the roll out of tools within the Media Line of Business in the Americas.

The role will be primarily responsible for the planning, management, roll out and successful migration of all current data platforms of all operating companies within Dentsu Aegis in the Americas to the Media Ecosystem through the regional hub, reporting directly to the Head of Roll Out and Business Change, Americas.

The role will lead a team to enable DAN’s clients to deliver better marketing decisions using data and technology. This senior leader will provide leadership by applying their expertise and experience in media and marketing to help impact client’s business by leveraging best in class platforms running on cloud infrastructure. 

This highly motivated, detail-oriented individual will be responsible for managing a team that works with clients and internal stakeholders to educate on uses of new and existing platforms and tools, partner with analytics to create test plans, and maximize value out from client partnerships.

Critical Role Priorities

Media Ecosystem Roll Out

Define a clear and compelling strategy and a visible roadmap for rolling out the Media Ecosystem and its applications within the Americas

Strengthen the Regional Hub by hiring regional team members to support the media line of business and helping to define improved processes and tools

Manage and mentor regional hub team for growth and opportunities. Ensure succession plan in place for all team members

Be an in-house expert on how the Media Ecosystem and its applications can provide ROI for clients

Working with the Head of Roll Out and Business Change, engage with agencies at the Exec level, garnering support and drive to onboard clients to the ME

Present the ME strategy and demonstrate live and in development applications to relevant stakeholders

Act as account and client leadership partner

Understand how platform/data technologies work and offer the ability to explain in ordinary terms

Identify opportunities for industry learning, meet with vendors and provide a POV, with a client lens and in desired format -- education/evangelize the findings

Oversee relationship with Mar-Tech and Ad Tech Solutions

Partner with teams to support DSP, and Data/Analytics partnerships as part of the Data Refinery Roll Out

Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency)

Support and encourage planning teams to use the planning applications with the Media Ecosystem and the corresponding data as central tools for smarter planning

Build and maintain relationships with audience data partners and internal agency counterparts

Act as a liaison between media and cross functional teams based on client needs (Analytics, Media, Tech, Creative)

Staying apprised of new and emerging technology, creative and programming applications for potential use for clients and drive innovation with partners

Oversee accurate and timely reporting of billable and non-billable time

Support and Training

2nd line support for the Media Ecosystem

Support the Learning & Development team to understand feedback from users and how training materials can be improved or added to

Working alongside the Team Lead and the Learning & Development team, create plan for Roll Out of training across agencies and clients

Support the Head of Roll Out and Business Change and other Hub Leads by developing and agreeing standardization and adherence of process

Release management

Be thoroughly involved in the UAT process at the start and end of each release cycle

Engage and recruit champions across the Media LoB within the Americas to support in UAT and engagement of other accounts to onboard to the ME

Manage and plan for major and minor releases through thorough QA & UAT

Support the Product Owners to ensure detailed release planning is in place and each release is communicated to the end users of the platform

Open feedback channel to global on client and agency experiences and any required innovations in-market

Drive data consistency and quality through the use of process and technology


Offer new business support and thought leadership in technology within the media line of business

Pitch support for all pitches in the Americas and where necessary global

Detailed case studies based on our client’s experiences and wins with the ME and its applications

KPIs and measurement of success


10+ years of experience in media and operations roles of increasing responsibility within a large, federated global organization with significant emphasis with stakeholder, operations and team management

Strong understanding of the media industry and how best to overcome challenges with technology

Can do attitude and ability to work autonomously across a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration, influence and persuasion

Excellent communication skills­ with the ability to present complex concepts, risks and strategies to senior management in business terms

Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to focus on client Ad Tech and Mar Tech needs
